Whatever the case may be, Holmes has been great overall, BUT he needs to stop trading up into the 3rd/4th to pick fantasy sports camp prospects. He's done it twice now (brodric martin). He's getting too cute for his own good. And it will start hurting the team.

Martin is in a do or die season. Lions still need help at DT and he might be able to stick. Another injury filled year or less than average year and he is gone.

DT need depends on how long McNeil is out. He is a big dude and tore his all late in the season. Onwuzerike was real good dowm the stretch. Those 2 and Reader make a real good team up the middle. Especially with Hutchinson back....and maybe Jack Sawyer?

That dline with a more flexible DC and Lions defense should be so much improved next year. Which it will need to be as I expect offense will decline some without Johnson.

Rodgers was Bowles DC with the Jets. Been in the league coaching for decades.

Sawyer would be great. Not sure Z Smith will be back next year. We already know Davenport wont be. That leaves AQ Muhhamed but he is a depth pass rush specialist IMO. Dont forget PeKo may not be back either on the inside. Pascal is depth for both inside and outside but has not excelled at either. Reader is back for only 1 more year so I think we need help even if Alim is back next year.

Every coach Lions have seems blown away with him in yne off-season, once pads come on he becomes something else. Maybe he converts his practice reps to field production at some point? I am losing gopenfor it though, and I have been one of his staunchest defenders.

No, it wasn't his size. I saw him run down a RB in the open field showing that he doesn't quit on plays. So yes, he does have athleticism.

I don't need anyone thinking for me. I do that quite well on my own.

Spend your Holmes hate on someone else. He's brought so much talent to this team that Ben Johnson had to try really hard to fuck up the game against Washington.
