Nadal lost the first set.

Served for the 2nd, got broken, lost in the tiebreak.

Up a break in the 3rd.

I've never seen so many current players in the stands for a first round match. Or any first round match.

Djokovic, Alcaraz, Swiatek are in the stands.

Yes she proved that her game is still close to being a top player again. I think Swiatek was lucky to pull out a win. She was trailing in the decisive set I believe.

Saw this. Couldnt believe it. Swiatek is girl version of Nadal. Maybe not quite as dominant but damn.

I have watched more than usual.

Djoker out!
After I saw his very tedious journey through the draw with two nail biting five setters in the last two rounds I felt it would be an incredible feat ( perhaps the best feat of his entire career ) if he were to get through this draw and win the FO. A very tall order with his current form. The withdrawal was the right decision because he would have been massacred by Ruud.

If Djokovic hadn't gotten hurt, I would have liked to have seen Ruud actually beat him. It's a much more memorable moment to see a champion get beat, then to see him or her have a withdrawal.

The final of the women’s match was like watching a 4.0 rated player taking on a 5.0 player. It was a rout. I felt it would be straight sets but it was no contest! It’s a shame Osaka had to play her in the first round.

Colonel Alcaraz! He must have the most mental momentum heading into Wimbledon. Congrats on becoming the youngest to win majors on three different surfaces! The sky is the limit!

I would have liked to have seen Sabalenka get one more crack at Swiatek.

It's impressive in how much younger he is than the next person to win a major on three different surfaces. He beat that record by a year.

Feel really bad for Zverev. He's been fighting to win a major for years now. People have been waiting on him since 2017.

He's come close and gone deep in several majors.

I think Alcaraz will do well at Wimbledon again. I think I now like him on clay and grass more than hard courts.

I think on hard courts, his shot selection will hurt him a little more.

I'm surprised Alcaraz had so many more winners than Sinner, in that match. I would have thought Sinner would be somewhat comparable in winners.

Alcaraz had 65 winners to Sinner's 39. That's a huge difference.

I'm also surprised Zverev would have been the tallest FO champion ever. I thought someone his height would have won one by now, or taller.

Really wish Tsitsipas would have played better against Alcaraz. That match had potential on paper.

When the match stats are available, I want to see the unforced errors for Alcaraz vs. Sinner, and Alcaraz vs. Zverev.

It’s funny how both Alcaraz and Sinner leapfrogged Djokovic and showing him the door out from the top of men’s tennis. Djokovic will really try hard to win one more slam and make it a quarter century but now he will understand what Fed went through toward the end with everyone writing him off as he tried to win his 18th slam.

Alcaraz vs Sinner would have been a better Final.

I'm fairly happy with the Zverev vs. Alcaraz Finals.

Plus if Zverev had won, not only does he finally win a major, but he wins it on the court where he had his bad injury. It would have been a good feel good moment.

Are you referring to FED's period after 2012 Wimbledon, and before 2017 Australian Open, when he was trying for #18?

FED did get very close. Played in several finals in between.
