It feels like the Broncos are getting beat badly for the cheese by the other teams. In years past though - being late to FA usually results in value contracts.
I think Simmons will be fortunate to get $10 million or better per year. His agent will get around to telling him what he wants is guaranteed money over a long period of time.

The Broncos still have contracts on the roster they can re-negotiate, and they don't seem to be in a hurry to get those done. I'm in the situation where I see evidence that Payton has a plan, but I can't imagine what it is. I would expect the Broncos want to have a top NFL rushing reputation and that will be the first order of business.Yeah that is what it is going to have to be. Sounds like we are eating 54m of Wilson's deal this year to make things better for next year?
He got a nice deal. I think the Broncos maximized the value they got out of Josey Jewell - or better put - Jewell way outperformed his contract and his status in the NFL.It was sad to see Josey Jewell removed from our roster today.
I don’t think Denver is really trying to be competitive with other teams though. It feels like the Broncos are getting beat badly for the cheese by the other teams. In years past though - being late to FA usually results in value contracts.
Commanders traded QB Sam Howell, along with fourth and fifth-round draft picks, to the Seahawks in exchange for 2024 third and fifth-round picks.
I thought the Broncos might make a run at Howell. Pretty slim pickings at this point for veteran QB's.
With how limited draft capitol we have, I don’t think we could afford to give up a 3rd.I thought the Broncos might make a run at Howell. Pretty slim pickings at this point for veteran QB's.
