The Vikings have no QB.

Jefferson might be their only chance to ever get one unless they tank.

Should at least see what the market is, before you make the payments.

They can get one, but will it be one that really moves the needle? Should be able to get Nix, Penix, etc. They really need D line as well, and their picks this year are a 1st, a 2nd, then 7 day 3 picks.

Can they do that and still pay Baker?
Well I'm sure just like any team that can restructure contracts and make other moves to increase cap space. As of right now, they can pay Baker and Evans their projected AAV and that will be their cap space.

They'll need space to sign their draft picks too. Just two restructure options as I later added, won't be able to do much more in FA.

I think Tampa has a disgruntled LB that wants to be traded.....don't they?

Yeah they are very limited if they pay both

Both seem pretty terrible. You'd have to be extremely confident in the idea that there are exactly 3 franchise QBs in the draft to make that move.
Not really. You could think there is exactly one, but he would fall to pick 3.

Its possible but I'd certainly wait until draft day to make that move.

I do think the correct play for Minnesota is to get a rookie QB. Why else would you have KOC as a head coach?

Pats need a QB badly.
Vikings would give up all of their future for the #3 QB on the board. Seems unlikely. That means they like all of the top 3 QB's. Jayden or Maye.

Doesn't seem crazy Pats moving back if they do think everyone not named Caleb is overhyped.

Can't wait for FA to kick off....
The draft generally speaking makes for more exciting points of discussion and tends to be more complex with all its variables. But as we sometimes forget, it's the FA period preceding it that often dictates how the draft develops. It's why I personally love talking about which FA could go to which team or if he first gets tagged/extended. It's a fun point of time in this offseason.

Pats have a bottom 5 roster probably and a bottom 5 QB situation. That sounds like a 2 year rebuild.

Next year's QB class looks suspect. Patriots will take a QB. Seems like one of the easier situations to predict imo which is maybe why the asking price is so silly.

That seems likely for NE unless they want to tank for two more years and go after Arch. That would mean a trade for Justin Fields. I am always suspect with NE but now with BB gone I think they make the logical move.
