The large cap increase is good for Philly, and other teams that structure contracts with balloon payments.
Yeah a chart of cap space this time of year is incredibly limited because of all the cap manipulation techniques these GMs can engage in. All those over the cap teams will be able to restructure deals to free up space to address needs on their football team and resign their own FAs.

Dolphins planning to release Xavien Howard from what I hear. He’s a good corner, will be interesting to see where he lands.
Depends what he is asking. I dont think he is worth what he is asking. Teams will plenty of cap will take the risk

They should cut Watson and go with elite, ageless Joe Flacco.

the problem with that is they still will be paying Watson to sit on his couch. :pound:Kinda like now.
Nevermind I retract my statement. They could cut Watson & all would be the same. Except that other Qbs will get more time practicing with the team.

At least now he has a chance to play IF he doesn’t get injured. If they cut him they still pay him lol

Hear me out: what if Justin Jefferson could be had on the trade block for a Vikings team in the middle of nowhere and a FA cousins, what would it take to acquire Jefferson…
No chance the Vikings trade Jefferson - he’s the best receiver in the NFL IMO. Even with a good, deep receiving class in the draft, it’s not easy to find a receiver as talented as Jefferson. The Vikings need to figure out their QB situation but if they have good QB play they are a playoff contending team IMO.

Mmm, I’d go hard draft before Ridley tbh.

Hollywood Brown I’d be open to on the FA side of things. This WR/OT group looks good. 1 good one should fall to 32.
There are about 10 teams right now where you really can't make too many predictions and the Chiefs are one of them.

I suspect the draft is deep enough at both WR and DT to find a starter in both rd1 and rd2 so it becomes a BPA thing in rd1 between the two positions and then probably trading up a couple of spots in rd2. That said, if the Chiefs cut MVS, I think that money could go into a different FA WR. Curtis Samuel or maybe Ridley.

I'm guessing they probably sign a veteran LT on the cheap. Donovan Smith again? I think Wanya Morris is likely the 'young' LT. Jawaan Taylor probably locked in at RT for 2 years for better or worse. I think a OT prospect in rd3 or rd4 might be in play to develop behind Taylor.

I would think at least one 1st round pick then you are going to have to give him guarantees for multiple years (per sources) and $30M a year. Seems pretty steep. Only a handful of teams would do it and would it be worth it if they are rebuilding...

Does Minny just want cap relief and picks. Common sense says yeah. Are they finally going for the rebuild type of season? If not maybe you can throw in a young and/or a player with a high cap hit along with a pick. At least that way you will shed some salary knowing you have to pay JJ a shit ton.

I don't think the Texans really need another WR but they have $73M in cap space.

JJ, Dell, Collins. That trio would be deadly with Stroud. That is a team that can make the move and still spend on other needs. You make moves when you have a QB on a rookie contract. I would give JJ a 3-4 year deal to line up with the Stroud contract.

The Vikings have no QB.

Jefferson might be their only chance to ever get one unless they tank.

Should at least see what the market is, before you make the payments.
