Just for arguments sake.
1. We won't have to trade the farm to get a QB in the top 5 this year.
2. What's worse, missing on Haskins or passing on Tua and Herbert?
3. Are we going to spend more time operating on the Ron Rivera plan of fixing everything else and then "dropping the QB in?"
4. Dean gets hell for "rubberstamping" everything Ron does, yet some on this board are getting pushback for not "rubberstamping" moving forward with Howell.
5. Is it a hot take to contemplate drafting a QB with our first pick, when our 5th round QB is:
4-10
Leads the league in interceptions
Leads the league in pick6s
Leads the league in sacks taken
Leads the league in sack yards
Leads the league in batted balls
24th in passer ratings
22nd in QBR
I take no joy in poking holes in Sam Howell. I'm just tired losing. I really am hoping Sam turns things around over the next three weeks so we can plug and play Harrison Jr. along side McLaurin and Dotson.
i'll give this a shot....
2. IMO, all 3 would've failed
3. What happened in Houston has me on board to draft a QB at 4 "if" they choose to.
Granted, Stroud is good but i feel like that staff did well with no household names.
Why can't we be next?
5. I still believe a new regime wants their own QB and for that reason alone -- we may shockingly see Alt or Harrison jr passed on.
on the flip side McLaurin, Dotson and Harrison Jr may be too hard to pass on
6. I feel like those of us who have doubts on Sam....those doubts stem from Rivera hanging this kid out to dry, in addition to not believing in him in the first place, "i wouldve started him earlier if knew he was that good" WTH???
