When guys like that are still available late, makes me wonder what is going on behind the scenes that nobody signed him sooner.
He's not an efficient scorer.
Okay defender.

Curious to see what Nick Nurse can do with him.

That doesn't mean they'll trade him for 50 cents on the dollar though. Miami needs to come with a reasonable offer that makes sense for both sides, likely finding a 3rd or 4th team to get the proper assets.

Yeah, sounds similar to the Sixers situation with Harden.

A team saying "Hey, if you want out, we'll take care of you" or "We'll move you quickly", doesn't mean "We'll take whatever bag of crap offer someone wants to throw our way".

Imo, teams need to stop making those kinds of offers to players because the player is never going to be as patient as the team and when other teams know that's what a player has been told, they aren't going to make a good offer.

What Miami wants to offer is fair for harden, not dame (since dame has more control)

I'm sure the Sixers would jump at that offer as well.
I doubt it. You can’t play Herro and Maxey together. Too much similar game and neither guy can defend. The Sixers and Heat don’t really matchup for a deal.

It’s basically Lowry and jovic, Jacquez and picks

I disagree with this premise since maxey becomes your pg and herro is not.

Is it ideal? No. But it’s a fun start

They could always move one or the other. Getting rid of the potential of Fat Harden is the win, plus future 1sts.

Hell, moving Harden for Lowry's expiring deal and Caleb Martin and future 1sts could work?

Ultimately, don't think it matters. I can't imagine Harden being a Heat culture guy.

That’s a little bit better than any Herro deal because Lowry is expiring money like Harden is. Sixers best bet right now is to stand pat and hope that the Bulls get off to a mediocre start and want to pull the plug on a rebuild. Sixers can get Lavine and role players and offer the Bulls $75 million in expiring contracts in Tobias Harris and James Harden.

At best, Maxey is a combo guard and not a true PG. Herro and Maxey are the same guy essentially with Maxey being the better shooter. You’re taking the better player and asking him to play left handed. Not good.

The only way Miami is even interested is if the Dame thing fizzles.

I don't know if that moves the needle enough either. Maybe they pivot to Chicago as you mentioned for the Sixers...

I'll admit my Harden hate, but he's been proving me right lately.

I disagree on maxeys playmaking

If the sixers believe that they should put him up for dame

Not sure Portland is looking for another guard, otherwise this trade might already be done. I could see them taking on Lowry as a vet presence for his one year left on his contract (and to help match money), but another young guard due a big contract soon isn't a good fit.

They would part with Maxey in a Dame deal. That hasn’t gotten off of the ground because of Dame and his agent poisoning the well.

Maxey could develop into a playmaker but he’s not that guy right now. He’s better suited to play the two around a pass first PG that can defend his position and has some height to him…so pretty much what you wanted Ben Simmons to be haha.

The goal for this year should be for Maxey/Embiid to develop some pick and roll, pick and pop chemistry between them similar to what Harden and Embiid were able to develop.

My goal is to create a deep fake to start their Shaq/kobe feud without the rings

Maybe a deep fake that has maxey admitting the best center in the league was screwed out of mvp…

For those that might be interested, basically you can watch all the TNT games without cable now. Just get a Max subscription along with the 10 dollar sports add on.

Here's the text in case its paywalled (just noticed that site has a limit)

Max will launch its live sports tier on Oct. 5, two days before it is slated to carry the NLDS as part of the MLB postseason. Dubbed “Bleacher Report Sports Add-On,” the sports tier will be available at no added cost to all Max subscribers through Feb. 29. After Feb. 29, Max subscribers can subscribe to it for $9.99 per month, on top of the $16 per month that Max charges for its service (or $10 per month for the ad supported service). The tier is only available to people that subscribe to Max.
All the games on WBD Sports’ linear TV channels -- TNT, TBS and truTV -- will be featured on Max, including games from the NBA, MLB, NHL, U.S. Soccer and March Madness. Currently, AEW will not be part of the Bleacher Report Sports Add-On tier. The tier will include studio shows, like “Inside the NBA” and B/R programming like “24 Hours of Le Mans.” The first big event will be the NLDS that starts Oct. 7. Video-on-demand content also will be available.
A big part of WBD Sports’ strategy is that the games will not be exclusive to one service or another. Rather, they will exist on both linear TV and streaming at the same time. Other media companies, including Disney and NBC, have opted to make some programming exclusive to their streaming services.
“If you want to watch something, sometimes it's really impossible to know where things are in the sports marketplace,” Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Chair & CEO Luis Silberwasser said. “We're giving people the convenience of watching it in both places. We fundamentally think that these are different consumers. There's the pay-TV consumer who has a whole suite of channels on cable. Then there are people who are either broadband-only or are dropping cable and want to have a different option but don't have the ability to watch our sports.”
Silberwasser said WBD Sports has kept distributors abreast of its plans to launch a premium sports service. “We’re going to have conversations over the next few months with our partners because we do want to partner with them in how are they going to participate in the wholesale part of this,” he said. “We all want the same thing -- we want the linear environment to be healthy. We also want to give people who are not interested (in) cable to have the option of direct-to-consumer.”
