You can get picks for free

Just take expiring contracts…

I don’t get this take
They can do that at the deadline. That’s a move that is always available. You can dump a player whenever you want. I told you the high reward move earlier. Somebody decides that they’re going to blow up and start over. Sixers can package $75 million of expiring money for a player to partner with Embiid and Maxey. They may have to take some bad contract back to make it happen. That’s the piece you need to keep Embiid engaged and not begging out. I have been thinking Lavine but there are other potential “they’re gonna blow it up” situations.

I hope the Sixers take the new rule and because everything is in their hands, tell Harden we will keep paying you to stay away.

Offer him one of those autonomous cars to pick him up for every game, then program it to go to strip clubs.

Also, from what I’ve read, the Clippers don’t even want to offer Batum. He’s the only expiring with higher end upside as a rotation player. Morris is cooked. I’ve seen the RoCo show. And I’ve also read that Clippers won’t send any picks. Even there, that pick isn’t until 2029 or 2030 anyway. I don’t see any upside to the Clippers proposed deal of Morris RoCo and salary filler.

You have no picks to make a big swing

Even later picks are picks to make a big deal

The Lavine situation allows them to work around that. 75 million of expiring. Sixers take 4 years of LaVine. Sixers take on the Lonzo ball deal. Sixers take on what’s left for Caruso. Sixers can offer 2 2nds and either a 2029 or 2030 1st. It essentially helps Bulls clear the deck. If the cap is around 135 million, 75 million in expiring can help you clear in a hurry. For the Bulls, they already have 28 million coming off in DeRozan. That’s over 103 million of what would be a 140-145 million cap in 2024. That’s big.

Yeah if the sixers are willing to take ball that is the best swing

I think they’re underselling Harris on that scenario, but sure

If you’re right…holding off gives you a chance to see Tobias prove that. Adding Harden cost him his role. No Harden opens the door for him to show that again in a contract year.

I think Harris is a good player.

Just overpaid

But 15-20m

He’s an ideal #4 on a title team

He’s been a great pro since he came here. I can’t blame a guy when he gets offered that kind of money.

2 days a week during football season so im disappointed. Shannon deserves to talk other sports as well imo

Lol. Like ESPN actually talks about other sports during football season. Game 1 of the WS could be starting and they'll spend 58 mins of a 60 min show talking about how Dak Prescott overthrew 3 passes in the 2nd quarter.

Found this to compare amongst the teams on number of national tv games

I absolutely hate that they consider NBATV national tv games. If you are showing the game and using the local commentators instead of sending out your own crew then it doesn't have that national tv game feel. I'm only ever talking about ESPN/ABC/TNT with national tv games but I did see the Heat are 10th which isn't horrible. Wonder what their ranking is without the NBATV games. They are bringing back the center court feature for select games on NBATV this season which is when they send out their own commentators so thats good
