There's also this.

I like Hubie but I mean, damn. 90 years old and still doing it? He's lost a few steps over the years. Its a lot more noticeable on the broadcast the last couple of years. Not really the best idea here but I feel like he's gonna be one of those people where the day he stops working, he dies.

I always have liked when Hubie called games. But it might be time for him to retire.

And speaking of retiring Is Lee Corso returning to college gameday? He's another guy I like but he needs to call it a career.

Would you rather have SVG and Jackson or Screamin' A and Skippy Brainless calling games? <---what a nightmare that would be

Stevie A and Skippy need to call a special event game. Like a Christmas, All-Star, or that new in-season Finals game.

The complete train wreck would be absolutely amazing. Neither of them will agree with anything and neither will back down.

I like Van Gundy a lot. He and Jackson had been part of 14 finals. Nothing lasts forever but it seems silly to just throw that away.

I get you hate Harden but if thats what Morey did then he is in the wrong.
I don’t really hate him, but I’m not real big on people that act like pos no. Sorry but I’ll wait for proof and not believe a fn word Harden said. Even if he thought he was promised a deal stuff happens in a year. Get it in writing. I guarantee you we aren’t going to hear any complaining from other players, everyone is done with this guy.

Really upset they took Mike Greenberg off of this crew. I really enjoyed his commentary

Sixers should trade him for whatever they can get (obviously no bad contracts) and move on.
Nah. That’s dumb. What they bring back should make them a championship contender or it’s not worth doing. The payoff in no deal is $75 million of expiring cap. If Harden isn’t there they aren’t a serious contender. If they bring back pieces like the Clippers trash they’re looking to get rid of then they’re still not a contender. They’re now in spin mode trying to mitigate a “loss”. The best way to do that is cap space next summer. Dealing him for the sake of dealing him just results in Embiid wanting to say I’m out. That’s almost guaranteed. Embiid may beg out anyway in the end, but this gives them time to get out ahead of it.

You aren’t a title contender with fat suit harden is more the point

So get expiring contracts and young players/picks and set up the retool

My buddy in the Guidance department at school is a huge Sixers fan and he deals with mediating teenage girl drama all the time. I think the Sixers need to bring him in to end this toxic lunch table bull shit haha.

Then they need to trade Embiid now. The asset will never be worth more. I think that trade value chart the Ringer does has Embiid as the 5th or 6th best asset in the league. But they won’t do this deal because they’re trying to get a new arena. They trade Embiid and then the attendance goes down 50-75%

As Q noted, the fear is the holdout (or half-assery he tends to pull while getting paid). Get assets for him and move along. They didn't get past the 2nd round with him last year.

Dump him somewhere. To the Wiz for Poole? To the Pistons for Bog/Morris? To the Hornets for Rozier? To the Jazz for Sexton/Olynyk?
Good lord…The Sixers are about to be rid of the Tobias Harris contract and what represents what’s left of the Ben Simmons contract. And you’re in such a hurry to add more garbage assets just so they can ….checks notes….be a 4-6 seed in the East and get eliminated in the 2nd round again.

Nothing here at all is more valuable than $75 million off the cap next season.

The Sixers can not win a title with James Harden. They can not win a title shipping James Harden out for spare parts. The Sixers can not win a title with James Harden not showing up. The Sixers can not win a title with James Harden sitting on the end of the bench and taking DNP-CDs all season long. The Sixers aren’t going to budge here. The best scenario is the expiring cap of him and Tobias. There’s nothing you can do to make them a contender this year.
