The HOF speeches last night were great. Tony Parker had me laughing.
It's fair to say DWade needed to tell him "you are the #1 here now play like it." But, sure, also fair to say Lebron should not have cared what DWade thought.Bosh was attempting more shots than him. If he wanted to defer, there was no need to defer to that level where you made yourself the 3rd option in the finals
I just think the moment was too big for him at the point in his career. He had attempted 22 shots per game in the 2nd round series vs Boston and 19 shots per game in the ECF vs Chicago to only attempt 15 per game in the finals is bad.
I think blaming Dwade for this is idiotic considering Lebron attempted 19 shots per game in the previous round and 22 per game vs Boston
My point is he was playing like a #1 the entire playoffs before the mavs series lol which is why i think him playing poorly had more to do with them losing than dwade not deferring to himIt's fair to say DWade needed to tell him "you are the #1 here now play like it." Guess in that case would only depend if he thought he could win there.
I mean, was great Lebron agreed to come home....but doubt he would have if no Kyrie and didn't know we could get Love.
For sure.....used to be rare a guy would turn down a max deal from his own team.Yeah, used to be that guys waited until late in the season to start "ring chasing".
But with rings seeming to be a bigger factor in a players legacy, they are becoming more and more willing to move on earlier in their careers.
It seems like guys are basically giving teams a season or 2 into their first true max contract to put a contender around them before they start making noise about moving on.

Yep.The blame falls on both of them...Lebron for waiting for permission and D-Wade for waiting until the season was over to give it.
I get you're excited for your boy...but no need to revise history.
I think blaming 1 player is idiotic...did D-Wade not realize until after the playoffs were over that Lebron was the better player?
As the team leader, he couldn't have gone to Lebron sooner and said "Hey, we need you to be the #1"?

Lebron wasn't avg 17 PPG in the previous 3 series that year or regular season. Even though it didn't flow the best and the roster was crappy, Had they got regular season lebron or the Lebron from the first 3 series then they still win that series easily
I didn't know you in 2011I agree. But it was obvious to anyone watching that Lebron was deferring and why.
Also, D-Wade was the only 1 of the "Big 3" that had actually won a title at that point. Which would be another reason for Lebron deferring.
And what I posted was the exact reasoning you Heat fans were giving for why you lost that series.
Now you want to act like it's all on Lebron.
I didn't know you in 2011
You weren't on cbs?
Yeah i was

Yeah that really makes no sense imo
That’s why I said the new CBA fucked teams like the Cavs by taking away the DPE if you have been traded. For sure.....used to be rare a guy would turn down a max deal from his own team.
