If I am making my best all time starting 5, there are 3 who just have to be on it.

MJ, LeBron and Kareem

They were the best at their positions by a considerable margin, IMO.

From there, it isn’t about getting the next two best players necessarily, but it is about getting all time greats who beat fit with what is already there.

So give me Curry and Bird to round out my 5. Just so much shooting/playmaking to add, and also both guys are great playing off the ball, which they would have to on this team.

Bird would be a 4 if he was in the league today and he has the skill set to be that.
I like your 5 a bunch.

I'm biased, but I'm taking Magic over Curry. Someone has to run this team and organize that offense.

If I’m being fair, it’s why I’m willing to admit that there isn’t anything that LeBron can do now to talk me off of the MJ is the Goat position. He transcended the sport in a way I’ve never seen another athlete able to do with the exception of Tiger in golf.

Good comment about a guy coming up and idolizing a player.

Yeah, it's MJ of the players I've seen (while fighting off my fandom for Magic, lol).

I would take Magic over Curry straight up, on that team I may take Curry. Jordan/Lebron/Kareem are not fantastic shooters. I would love to have Curry at the point just to add an elite threat on the perimeter. That team has plenty of play making without Magic.

Curry/Bird keep the paint from congesting on that one.

It’s already serious I would think, kids that age don’t have heart attacks. No matter how serious hopefully they can actually figure out why it happened.

Holy shit, bringing back scary memories of Hank Gathers. Hope he's OK first of all, and can return to playing is secondary.
