I take bigger issue with their public comments and sinking of his trade value, and their either willful misdiagnosis or lying about him faking his back injuries…when he clearly hasn’t
So this is what we’re talking about. These comments came within 30-45 minutes of a gut wrenching Game 7 failure as a number one seed.

1. Embiid - “It seemed like the game changed when we passed up a good look for a worse look and we only converted one of two from the line.”
2. Doc - Reporter: Can you win an NBA title with a point guard that doesn’t shoot.
Doc: “I don’t really know.”

This is not what sunk his trade value. He wanted out because he’s a pussy who couldn’t take the heat of being a major player on a team in a big sports market. What you’re citing is excuse making from a low character individual who has never taken personal responsibility for anything. That’s true Pre Sixers, as a Sixer, and after leaving the Sixers. The Sixers are out of the equation and these issues still remain.

If I'm Portland, I'd rather take Herro, then work my own deal. It would provide more options for them.

And ftr, I'm not saying that it's fair value or even close.

But at this point Dame to the Heat seems inevitable and if the offer gets better, it's not likely to be by much.

Seems like they'd be better off getting it over with and focusing on getting their rebuild started.

If I'm Portland, I want every young asset from Miami. Picks, Martin, Jacquez, Jovic, Highsmith, Robinson in addition to Herro. Gotta make up for the lack of picks (and gap until those picks) somehow. Blazers can then sort through those assets and redirect if necessary for fit.

How does Portland trying to trade Herro themselves provide more options?

The teams that want him are allegedly offering a 1st.

Why would that increase when everyone knows the Blazers have no use for him?

I would say he is currently better than Simons.

But, not by enough to warrant you getting rid of a guy you developed that makes 5 million less a year.

Sharpe and Scoot are significantly cheaper, with significantly higher upsides.

I actually think the offers would diminish because it is obvious who the odd man out is.

I want nothing to do with Duncan

Take Lowry and buy him out

Or, keep him around for a while, if you’re utah last year you can use him as the matching salary to trade for Zion lol

Yeah if you’re taking Herro it’s cause you think he can play the 3 long term…or I guess that sharpe can

But I prefer sharpe at the 2

Just get more picks and young players

Yeah, at least Lowry is expiring.

Plus, the Clippers would gladly ship out Morris and RoCo for Lowry.

If the Heat get the Lillard deal done, I’m actually hoping they send Lowry to the Clippers.

I can live with him for a year and the Heat could use our guys too.

I want no parts of Harden.

Sharpe at the 2 means bye bye Anfernee.

I think Simon’s at the 2 replicates the McCollum problem they just got out of

He’s fine and on a better deal than Herro, but not by much.

Both are moveable and probably should be to balance out rosters

Oh make no mistake about it there was smoke before they drafted Simmons and I have to think there was fire when they gave him the new contract. That’s the team not being honest with themselves.

It would have been the wrong decision to draft anyone other than Ben Simmons.

His first couple years in the league were awesome. He looked like a future superstar.

If the smoke was there as you say, the mistake was not trading the asset when it was at peak value.

They could have gotten almost anyone to pair with Embiid in a package centered around Ben Simmons. Any superstar player even close to being involved in trade rumors could have been a 6er.

Saying they should have drafted Brandon Ingram or someone else instead is not a good move. Ingram doesn’t move the needle enough

They needed to trade Simmons early, before everyone around him gave up on him.

For a team like the clips I’m team go all in, banners hang forever (I’m sad there’s no synonym that starts with b)

But you know I liked Lowry for y’all and it doesn’t compromise your future

Well said, although at the end it should say “before he wore on everyone around him and made them give up on him”.

He doesn’t work on his game AND now his confidence is shattered.

That wasn’t the case before all this mess.

He was a very productive player even without working on his game.

You don't think he works on his game? We kept seeing shots of him in the gym making 3s. The problem is between his ears. He has some sort of mental block, potentially part of that from switching his shooting hand.

The ironic part of all the playoff outrage over Simmons' deferring shots? The play most featured ended in a scoring opportunity and points.

Once Simmons contract is up, I wouldn't mind seeing him with the Spurs or Lakers. I think that starting over without that salary pressure could help put him back on track, and I think Ham/Handy and/or Pop could get through to him.

Clips banners are for division winners though, not championships.
