Dude had like 5 burgers.

We’d like to believe he was sharing with his friends.

But, we have seen the “Harden wants a trade so he shows up for camp fat “ movie before.

He said he would show up for camp, I bet he will be in shape.

Sadly, that shape will be a circle.

I love it

Philly wasting the embiid years after making a mockery of the league would be incredible

I think we will look back on this and conclude that it was Embiid who wasted the Embiid years. Game like an alpha but the make up of a beta.

KD was very unhappy with him when he asked out. You think it might be because the guy refuses to try to improve his game? The whole league is done with him.

He doesn’t work on his game AND now his confidence is shattered.

That wasn’t the case before all this mess.

He was a very productive player even without working on his game.

And then he got the bag. The rest is history.

None of which has anything to do with what his trade value was back then.

No, I was just pointing out he has done nothing to make himself more valuable to anyone even after he got the trade he wanted to punish the assholes that were so mean to him.

Or he is a shattered man after receiving death threats from Philly fans over a bad playoff series.

Look, Simmons is seriously flawed. Always has been.

But he was a very good player before the back issues and before the drama. And he had a lot of trade value then.

He doesn’t now.

We all know what he's done since everything happened. No one is disputing that he has done nothing to resuscitate his trade value. As @tlance pointed out, there was a time, prior to the Sixers tanking his value, when he was arguably the most valuable trade asset in the league.

What happened to his trade value a couple of years ago was mainly on the Sixers. What has happened since then, is on him.

I just happen to think it all started once he got paid, he quit trying anything. He’s a grown man, blaming others for your problems is not a good strategy.

Locally, the Sixers are a soap opera and people on talk radio are really playing up Harden not being at Embiid’s wedding. Sixers have become such a dramedy that when I tease my wife about watching all her Real Housewives bull shit I get “Don’t start. You follow the Sixers like they’re a part of our family.”
Yeah, I have no issue with him not being at the wedding.

It was the 4 quarter pounders he swiped that got me….lol

That’s insane. The player is most responsible not the franchise.

He never added to his game. In the dictionary, the word complacency has the picture of Ben Simmons next to it.

This shit is hilarious to me. I’ve seen two number one overall picks of the Sixers go to complete shit in Simmons and Fultz but now revisionist history is saying that the failure lies with the Sixers and not the players themselves.

Oh make no mistake about it there was smoke before they drafted Simmons and I have to think there was fire when they gave him the new contract. That’s the team not being honest with themselves.

Fair to point out on the decision to draft him. I’m not as critical on the decision to extend him. That’s like an auto move that every GM and agent would do.

At the same time, how do you project in a draft analysis that this guy is going to develop the Yips when it comes to shooting outside of 6 feet? You can project a dude that has a weak jumper still working on it and employing it to keep the defense honest like Jason Kidd or Rajon Rondo or Magic Johnson. You don’t envision a dude developing a Mackey Sasser like condition wherein he just refuses to shoot. His case is mind boggling. To lay this condition at the feet of a franchise is just disingenuous.

I take bigger issue with their public comments and sinking of his trade value, and their either willful misdiagnosis or lying about him faking his back injuries…when he clearly hasn’t
