I don’t think the comp fits because Cuban was the only owner willing to go there.

Doesn’t matter. When guys overpay, it still becomes a comped value. There are very few Hardens and Kyrie that can even be used for comp values. That’s why one overpay can throw a monkey wrench into things.

Irving doesn’t have the recent reminder of not performing in the playoffs either.

Harden performed in the playoffs. The problem was his inconsistency from game to game. Harden essentially won 2 of the 3 Sixers wins over the Celtics by himself with 41 and 44.

At this point if anyone expects much of anything from Harden in a game that matters they are fooling themselves.

I don’t like any of those players much. Grimes is a one trick pony. They have better in Melton. RJ Barrett is meh. Fournier is less than meh. I like Quickley but as you said can’t play Maxey with Quickley. Two smaller dudes that struggle to defend.

This isn’t happening now. This is talk for next summer.

I agree. I don't think the players make sense and Philly can do better but the picks...that is a different story. In the end, this won't happen until at least next summer possibly further into the future. The key is getting a young star-young players that fit the roster and not just picks.
