2016 offseason was brutal…especially to the Lakers

Gilbert Arenas' deal was more unfortunate than anything. At the time he was one of the best players in the NBA and his contract was justified. He got injured and never really recovered. Then he had the whole thing with the guns.

Also looking at Allan Houston's deal...that would be a steal in today's NBA for his production.

You know I gotta say after watching some of Chris Paul's interviews about joining the Warriors...

I still hate the guy.
There's been some talk he isn't down with coming off the bench, I haven't looked closely do you have that impression also?

Would be tough to have Curry and CP3 both in the starting lineups.

Yes obviously, which is why I asked. He could be in the closing lineup sometimes but 20 mins leading the 2nd unit is the perfect role for him, also to keep his minutes down

Saw someone on twitter mention it has Russ in LA vibes. Kind of feels the same.

Andre needed to be convinced to come off the bench. I'm sure it's a move that has to be made. Who is he starting over? Only legitimate argument that could be made is Klay, but why?

CP3 off the bench also helps him to preserve his body and take on less of a work load. Just makes sense.

Russ in LA vibes is no bueno, but good point on Iguodala. I mentioned the lower workload above too.

I suspect he's smart enough to buy in to whatever Kerr wants to do if he wants that ring. And if not, then it doesn't work out.

Yeah, that's where the needs of the team with the pick comes in. You need an SF, it's Lebron. You need a C or PF, you're taking Wemby. Although a team that needs a PF may choose Lebron as well because of his build.

Picking for need at the top of the draft is dicey at best though. Charlotte is already getting criticized for passing on Scoot. If it's a toss-up, sure. I still don't see Lebron vs Wemby as close to a toss-up though.

Zion Williamson reportedly has left a floater in the pool. Apparently, he had corn yesterday.

I think if you had an equally talented player at both positions you are taking Lebron. Again, just my opinion and based a lot on thinking less chance he'd be a bust.
