Being a generational talent does not guarantee you hit your potential, it just means thay if he does maximize his potential he will peak as the best in the league. Judging a 19 year old kid off of a bad summer league game is ridiculous, and you know it.
And calling him a generational talent when I guarantee that you had never watched him play a full game in your entire life is asinine, but par for your course

There is no debating whether or not Wemby is a generational talent. Sorry, but that is factual.

Whether or not I have watched him is irrelevant (I have).

People whose job it is to evaluate young talent almost universally say that he is the best prospect they have seen in many years.

Nobody has ever said he is a polished product. Everything about the kid is based on his potential.

I don't understand how a fan of baseball, where literally every pick spends time in the minors, can't grasp the basic concept of needing time to hit their potential.

Why don't you head on over the the MLB forum and talk about Skenes can't be the best pitching prospect since Garrett Cole because he is not the day 1 ace.

lol @saying you "guarantee" someone else hasn't watched him.

First, you have no idea what someone else has done. Additionally, people whose jobs are to analyze players virtually all say that he's a generational talent.

There's a reason so many teams were trying to tank to get this kid. Hell, the Mavs tanked themselves out of a playoff spot to try to get him.

The kid is a generational talent. That part isn't even up for debate at this point. The question now is...will he develop into a generational player?

It's always entertaining when the casuals show up so sure they know what they're talking about though. So, thanks for that.
