No chance the Thunder are taking on Simmons

You say stuff like this all the time.

For the right deal?

OKC could be exactly the type of environment Simmons needs to start to rebuild himself.

And if they get assets to take on his contract?

There are a lot worse ways that OKC can use their cap space.

If Simmons were able to rebuild himself (however unlikely) his skill set actually fits what they are trying to do.

Yeah and that is why I SD Pop and Spo

Right.

But you are only focused on the coach.

Teammates in the locker room might actually be more important here.

Jimmy Butler would kill him and Miami is trying to win today.

Interesting how you blame doc for thybulle but not for the guy he actually broke
I think the critique is fair, Fultz, Simmons, and Thybulle all came from the same spot, and all had varying degrees of their confidence shattered.

You can't completely remove the player being accountable, but the fact that we saw so many high profile cases from the same location can't be ignored. With players that have supreme confidence. Pierce, Allen, KG, Embiid, and Butler Rivers has been great, but clearly there is something there for those that are a little more fragile.

In my example they are sending non guaranteed and expiring contracts for players that are not going to stick as well as getting draft compensation. I don't think it will happen, but I don't think it is a crazy idea either.

It is the type of deal all rebuilders should be looking at.

Get a pick or two to take on a bad contract.

And this particular bad contract happens to be young enough and talented enough there is at least some chance he ends up being an asset.

I mean, that really is his best shot to deter other teams.

But, if I am Portland, I would not trade him until I got a deal I could live with.

He doesn’t give a fuck about sinking their return.

Why should they care what he wants?

The team isn’t saying we won’t trade you where you wanna go.

They are saying not for a trash offer.

Dame is a clown tbh

I would make him play out his contract. Not like the Trailblazers were good with him...He signed the contract, if he didn't want to play there, why sign a contract? Owners need to really clamp down on these clowns tbh

This is horrible.

She’s cray cray.

But, sounds like security overreacted.

Britney and co. walked over to Catch, and as they were entering the restaurant, Britney spotted Victor. We're told she's a fan and went over to him to ask if they could take a photo together. She tapped him on his back, right shoulder and, we're told the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs -- the team that drafted Victor last month -- instantly backhanded her, causing her to fall to the ground ... knocking her glasses off.

Security definitely overreacted. Why the hell are you swinging on someone for a shoulder tap, especially a short woman?

I disagree. I think Porzingas was a great add. That leaves them net better even considering they’ve lost Smart and Williams.
Tend to agree but bought high on KP and hard to count on him to be healthy.

Yep. Someone needs to explain to him that he's depressing his own market. If he just expanded it to...trade me to a contender...the offers would immediately improve significantly.

Nothing wrong with demanding a trade, Nothing wrong with trying to dictate where you go.

A lot wrong with expecting the team to take someones table scraps to get it done.

Dame has been incredibly loyal to Portland for years. He signed the contract because he wanted to be there, and because Portland management promised him they would try to build a winning roster around him.

Well, they got pick 3 and drafted a serious prospect in Scoot.

And instead of trading the pick for current help, they are keeping it and building around Scoot.

This is 100% the correct move for Portland, but they also broke their promise to Dame.

And that is why he is now wanting to be traded and using any leverage he has to get where he wants to be.

So, no, Dame is not a clown. He is just trying to make the most of the end of his prime years.

As just about anyone else in his situation might do.

Or…he had no intentions of staying in Portland all along and instead used them to get his super max instead of taking less on the open market in true FA. And now he’s holding the franchise hostage by demanding a trade to one team and one team only assuring that they get a disgusting return on their biggest asset who has forced himself out. Man, all this bull shit because a guy played basketball for a franchise that could give him the most money. People are acting like dude is fucking Mother Teresa.

Lowry
Jovic
Martin
Jacquez
Two firsts

That’s not awful, but not good either

But there were better prospects than 3J out there at 18 jmo

I’m still in the camp of the Heat only need to offer Lowry and salary filler. They’re competing against themselves. Dame has royally fucked that franchise while delivering nothing.

Let me know when I’m wrong I guess. FYI I’m not saying in my opinion that they should or shouldn’t, though I certainly have an opinion there. I’m saying knowing this franchise just a bit that there is no way they will do it. Literally a zero percent chance.

I’m not trying to rebuild anyone that I have to pay 30 mil per year.

The Thunder are a fringe playoff team.

Adding Simmons SUBTRACTS from that, depending on who they have to send out to get him.

Why in GAWDS NAME would they ever trade for him?
