Draymond has a personal relationship with Simmons.

He would be invested in helping him turn it around.

Of course, in order for the Warriors to get Simmons, they would need to move salary. Draymond would be the most logical piece to move, and I highly doubt the Dubs would do that.

Or Chris Paul

I watched the Draymond podcast where he mentioned Ben Simmons still has all his skills, but he lost all confidence. It got me thinking about teams that could recover him. I completely understand that no team is going to want to take him, especially at that salary, but which teams stand the best chance to get him back to who he was?

Warriors are the first that come mind, but I can't see Draymond making a year before he snaps and destroys any forward progress.

I would pick Thunder, but that runs the risk of him destroying the team over them helping him up. However, They have Chip Engelland and no pressure to play him. So hypothetically in 2 months they send Bertans and Olidipo to the Nets for Simmons and picks. He spends a year doing nothing but learning to shoot from the greatest shooting coach in history with no pressure or expectation. Then next year...is he old Ben Simmons again?

I personally would not gamble 80 million over 2 years for an outside shot that Simmons is recoverable, but they idea keeps bouncing around since the Draymond quote. Am I missing a better possible team on this?

I want to say the Heat. But part of succeeding with the Heat is being mentally tough. That doesn't seem to be something he possesses.

I guess you could say the Heat would make him or break him completely.

The Warriors could work because they don't really need him to score so he could concentrate mainly on assists, rebounding and defense.

He's only 26, so there's still time for him to at least get into the neighborhood of what folks thought he'd be when he was drafted.

But that depends on him being willing to do the work and so far, it doesn't seem like he has been.

Coach Spo has built a career turning fringe players into team value. In each case the player has a tough mental mindset. Same could be said for Quin Snyder.

I do think after his current contract runs out we may see Simmons a few years later come in on a vet minimum and be a huge value. Assuming he does actually love the game of basketball. Hard to recover confidence when you are also maybe the worst contract in the game.

Yeah, that contract is a real problem. It seems like the teams who could best develop him would have to give up too much to fit him under the cap.

Maybe someone takes a chance on him in '24-'25 when he will be an expiring contract?

He is salvageable in the right environment I believe.

With what his agent is doing I am starting to think he could.
They are trying to deter teams.

If he does go elsewhere, let’s see him put his 47 million dollars where his mouth is.

People said the same shit about Kyrie and Durant.

They both played.

This is horrible.

She’s cray cray.

But, sounds like security overreacted.

Britney and co. walked over to Catch, and as they were entering the restaurant, Britney spotted Victor. We're told she's a fan and went over to him to ask if they could take a photo together. She tapped him on his back, right shoulder and, we're told the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs -- the team that drafted Victor last month -- instantly backhanded her, causing her to fall to the ground ... knocking her glasses off.

The he would be an idiot
Starting to think he already is
I mean, that really is his best shot to deter other teams.

But, if I am Portland, I would not trade him until I got a deal I could live with.

He doesn’t give a fuck about sinking their return.

Why should they care what he wants?

The team isn’t saying we won’t trade you where you wanna go.

They are saying not for a trash offer.
