Yuck. Sixers get worse plus they play a part in helping an Eastern Conference rival get better. If that was the goal, I’d deal Embiid to the Knicks for 5-6 first round picks.
Still better than getting role players from LAC for Harden. Your 1-2 Maxey and Herro defensively is pretty bad though.

Not better than standing pat. Standing pat is best long term for the Sixers starting next summer. The reason to come off that would be to make them better in the short term. This deal definitely doesn’t do that. A Herro Maxey pairing is ass. They play the same role and your team’s best playmaker is <checks notes> a debate between Pat Bev and Joel Embiid. Yuck yuck yuck. Herro has no value to the Sixers unless for some reason Maxey is going out. They’re the same guy.

Still better case then Harden going Harden mode and forcing his way out midseason. I feel if he stays in Philly one more year than this will happen. I think they just need to trade him. Expiring contracts might be best case though

Clippers have the rights to their first round pick (at a position of need with Harris a fa after next year) and 2 future firsts when Pg and kawhi are long gone.

You can get some of those at least plus expirings who fit the roster better

This seems to be the popular opinion about how Harden is going to act. What I don’t understand is how acting that way benefits James Harden? This is likely Harden’s best chance to compete for a ring. Why is he blowing that up? He doesn’t have a contract for next year and he knows this is the prevailing opinion about him. He just saw that there wasn’t the market for him that he expected. For the best interest of James Harden, he needs to be a good soldier and compete. Why do you think Harden is a threat to act against his own interests? I’m not seeing it.

How was it on his best interest to do it last time?

He was on the best team In the nba, a wrong shoe size from a title and a fa to be

And he still fat suited it

He will have another chance for a ring if he demands another trade to a contending team like LA. It's just a revolving door. It's like a fat kid that keeps eating candy but he wonders why he is fat. He's has a pattern of behavior that he cannot change-he needs help. Maybe more strip clubs will help.

Kyrie went off the reservation over the vaccine and he said y’all aren’t serious get me out of here. Why don’t people see this as a Nets failing? Kyrie begged out. Then Durant did. Then they both came back. Then they both ended up demanding a trade.

Is this Houston?

I can't remember.

I can barely remember what I ate last week.
So that's why you post your meals here, it's for the record

He’s on an expiring deal. If he says I’m not playing after the Sixers shook the trees for value that isn’t offered he isn’t getting dealt. The Sixers can not win a title one man short. Why make a deal to appease Harden’s demands? Your deals make the Sixers worse. That makes no sense.

You really don’t have a good reason then. This is just lazy reasoning. The guy has already done things people here said he would never do for the good of the team. He’s no saint. Like most people, he works for self interest. What you’re projecting is the opposite of him working in self interest. You think he’s going to work in self sabotage.

If the Sixers don’t get Powell, Batum, RoCo and 1 or two of the 2028 2030 picks then there’s just no reason for the Sixers to do a deal.

Reasoning on why he keeps asking for trades? You're right, I don't. Does he? Does anyone? He asked for a trade midseason in BKN and he had a great team around him.

It could be many different reasons but what makes you think he won't ask for a trade midseason if he asked to be traded right now? You are still falling for this chump. We all told you before this would happen, it's just like Kyrie. Kyrie is actually better now bc he committed to something for once.

Both sides should do that deal

Although @Mecca is gonna cam Cleeland me for suggesting that…

I agree, this is the better deal. It helps Philly going forward after this year + Harris contract coming off the books. You only have Powell on the books
