Edmunds may be a bit pricey and the Patriots don't have a desperate need for a LB.

Poyer would be a great addition and whith his injuries, could be a cheap pickup. He missed the Bengals game with an injury and most likely will have surgery for the meniscus. BB is willing to pay him to sit until October when he's healed up and ready to play.

Good read - you'll agree with most of the grades.
yep.

Agree with Traveler that Bourne's performance were better than the grade and his problems with Patricia could not be overcome.

Isn't Stidham a FA this year? Would be interesting to see about brining him back. Seems he is not starter material and with two young QBs on the roster the Pats need to add a 3rd option. A seasoned guy vs a rookie IMO, not necessarily Stidham but some vet.

Well...Hoyer is not the guy...
I can appreciate his willingness to mentor and hold a clipboard, but even as third string, it was proven last year by a couple teams that even then you need a viable option.

Personally I prefer they keep taking shots at the draft. Zappe proved himself a reliable backup so I’d personally like to see them keep rolling the dice with later round draft picks.

Patriots waived WR Kristian Wilkerson.

Kicker Quinn Nordin and defensive back Tae Hayes were also waived. Wilkerson bounced between the Pats' practice squad and active roster during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He did not play in 2022 after being hospitalized with a head injury during training camp. He was placed on injured reserve after the incident, ending his season before it began. He will look to find a home as a depth receiver and special teams contributor in the spring.

That's too bad, I wanted to see him succeed.

Here's the truth about "Futures Contracts". I was wondering why so many players were being signed before the SB.

It has some impact as to what a team is doing before the official season opens. Some are camp fodder. Others will be on the PS.
