Well, that sucked. Chargers scored on four straight possessions. Lions D just not getting the stops like they did to start the game.

Sutton felt the need to make up for DPI with Jacobs hurt

If that wasn't tipped that looked like a long TD

Two minute warning - all tied up - 2nd and 11 when play resumes with the Lions possessing the ball. Chew clock and be the last team to score. I had hoped for a larger margin of victory, but any way to win with how this has been going!

Why kneel? Run the ball. Get closer. Chargers would probably let you score, so just take a knee at the 3 or so

Lost a TD on an illegal low block where it appeared he barely touched him.. I guess the attempt itself was enough for the flag. Nice little drive though.
Intent should not be enough for a penalty. You actually should have to make contact.

Double Allen somehow. He's literally their only threat.
That would take too much intelligence from someone like AG. 2 guys to stop and no gameplan whatsoever to do it. Who woulda thunk that playing 10 yards off and bringing no pressure would not work.

I didn't bother rolling it back but it looked as if he barely touched him... not low anyway... he whiffed low.

Yea... that close already, no need to chance a fumble.
I did think it was like a 45+ yard FG. 41 is I guess close enough that it's limited benefits. But when XP went from the 2.5 to the 15 yard line misses went up quite a bit.

Nah, we’re good. We didn’t need a pass rusher at the trade deadline
Meh, that is why went made James Houston into a cover LB and practically destroyed his career.

AG is a genius.

I don't really have an opinion about Glenn, but I have to agree with your take about both the coverage and not blitzing more.

It is tough to form one on him. He took over a defense with 0 talent. We have added some talent, but the cupboard is still mostly empty.

He does seem to get the least out of low talent however.

This was the Ravens all over again except the offense showed up this time and we barely got by. I am OK with some team hiring him as their HC.

Going into this game Detroit statistically had one of the best defenses against the run, let alone total defense. It just doesn’t pass the eye test. They’ve put up some good games, but then days like today make you wonder what’s the missing piece. Maybe the opponent today was better than I gave them credit for. It almost seemed like the Chargers played like the Lions of years gone bye; hope dashed as time expired.

It was pleasantly surprising to hear the Lions being cheered on. Detroit fans are traveling this year. Good for the team’s morale.

Gibbs has had exactly 2 good games before today. And one of those he only started putting up stats in garbage time once we were down by 300 points.

I'm glad he looks promising, but right now I'm not even 100% sure he's better than Swift was. Hopefully more durable. But they keep comparing him to Barry. Let's just chill with that for a bit.

I agree with this. Gibbs is playing well, but he's not Barry. He's not Montgomery, for that matter. Montgomery has been great. What a signing. And what an upgrade over Williams. I'm guessing he only saw 25 snaps yesterday because he was coming off injury and they were being careful. But he needs to be the workhorse, with Gibbs the change-of-pace.

I don't know what Bruce Irvin has left at this point. A dart throw amt any player that can rush thebpasser is worth it. Hope it works out.
