I think the interesting thing here is that the Saints were a top 3 defense last year in some metrics. #1 red zone defense. Mathieu doesnt have to be a lynchpin on a struggling defense. He can be a leader on a top defense. This might end up being a big signing for the Saints. For at least next year.

Looking at the 5th year options from the 2019 draft, let's just say the Raiders nailed it. <sarcasm>

The names I am most shocked about on that list are Jacobs but I understand he has been good but not worth a long-term deal imo. Bush is another one after having a solid rookie year, injuries and lack of production.

All players that were declined most at the end of the first which makes sense.

Ferrell - we all knew that was a reach. They got Crosby in the 4th round to take his place though.
Daniel Jones - I knew this kid would suck from day 1 and he lived up to that.
Devin Bush - see above
Garrett Bradbury - $13M for a center, not surprised.
Andre Dillard - I think the Eagles thought they got their future LT here, not so much
Josh Jacobs - really the only one I am very surprised about. He's been healthy, 2 1K seasons but he just isn't good enough to pay big money and replaceable. Unless you are a top RB, I expect this to happen.
Johnathan Abram - solid starter but not worth the money
Jerry Tillery - don't know much about him
LJ Collier - such a reach here
Kaleb McGary -
N'Keal Harry - big bust here. It's why big, athletic WR's don't always workout.

Bush tearing his ACL killed his ability and since then was a legit Xbox Controller disconnect on most plays.

It's not just Bradbury is a center. It's the fact that he is terrible. The ONLY reason he started in each of the last 3 seasons is that the GM was trying to make it look like his 1st round pick wasn't a complete bust. If he would have been a 5th round selection, he probably never hits the starting lineup and he certainly wouldn't be on the roster any longer. Simply too weak to hold up against NFL DT's.

Yeah I don't know much about him, I don't pay attention to centers. I wouldn't have guessed he was bad...that's rough for a clear need the Vikes.

They must not be too worried, since they didn't draft one. G Ed Ingram doesn't seem like a candidate to move to center.

They signed 2 guys in FA in Chris Reed and Austin Schlottmann who both can play center. Their new OL coach was with the Broncos last couple of seasons and that is where Scholottmann was from so I would suspect he has the inside track on the camp competition.

The Jets blew everyone out the water with their offseason. Total landslide. But lets see if it equals to field success.

Biggest offseason upgrade was Drew Lock to Russell Wilson.

Best I can tell, Lock had 23 TDs, 17 Ints, and 10 Fumbles in his last 16 games. Lock lost 12 of his last 16 games with a good defense. Wilson probably cuts out 7 or 8 of those Ints, maybe 2 fumbles on average. 10 fewer turnovers of the course of a season. Conservatively, I'd say he'll add 5 TDs more than Lock over a season, too.

Denver had a positive point differential last year (albeit with a weaker schedule) so its really not that difficult to extrapolate that QB upgrade into a SB contender unless Wilson is massively regressing or Denver's talent is wildly overrated. Since Wilson chose to go to Denver one might assume that the latter is probably not a huge factor.
