Going to be interesting to see what the trade compensation is and what the Packers have to pay him.

On one hand Waller is one of the best at his positions. On the other hand he turns 30 years old at the beginning of the season and has his demons.

I always expect big numbers out of Packers TEs, but Rodgers doesn't seem to target them as much. Of course, that could change with a TE of Waller's caliber.

They haven't really had a good one since Jermichael Finley. Sure, a few have had their moments, because they have Rodgers throwing to them. But Waller would scare me if they were to get him.

Rodgers is the safest QB in the history of the league. And not just by a little. Its a lot.

So unlike most QB's, he wont force the ball over the middle. And that is usually the type of throw you need to make to a TE. Partly why his TE's have always had a few less targets and receptions than expected.

I wanted him in the draft. Too bad they wont trade him to Dallas
Wonder what the price is for Payne. Just one year so that in itself takes the price down but he is a pretty productive player. Mid round pick?

Giants declined to exercise Daniel Jones' fifth-year option.

This was expected, given Jones' mostly poor play since the Giants selected him with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 draft. However, declining Jones' 2023 option isn't necessarily a sign that the Giants plan to move on from him after this season. Unless the Giants select a quarterback in the draft, Jones is firmly entrenched as the Giants 2022 starter. If he exceeds expectations, New York can use the franchise tag to keep him on another one-year deal in 2023.

USFL teams? :noidea:
Well the clock is ticking and we will know very soon if there is actual interest in trading for Baker or if this is the Browns trying to manufacture interest in Baker.

Day 2 most likely. I guess maybe early Day 3 but Day 2 seems the most likely. After that and if Carolina, Seattle, Atlanta and/or Detroit have QB's...the Browns might be screwed
