Not quite that previously leaked contract, but the team was at least correct.
It was from an obvious troll account. He was laughing about it later that day.

I am sure the new Vikings GM was pretty frustrated to see outrageous contract terms all over social media just as he was sitting down with Smith.
I still have no idea what this means for Hunter. Do we have a pair of edge rushers......or is he Hunter's replacement? Have to wait to find out I guess.
I like Smith. But that is a lot of money for a guy who didnt play last season.
The number one reason probably asking for too much moneyI'm surprised Tyrann Mathieu hasn't been signed yet. A lot of rumors floating around but nothing solid. He must be asking for a long term deal that has teams being hesitant.
They going to pay Hunter and Smith...I know his bonus kicked in but wonder if they search for a trade partner for Hunter. That's a lot of money for two guys
We won't be able to afford to fix the secondary or the O-line if we keep Hunter at that price and barely will be able to sign our draft picks.

Welp nvm
Do you have a link for that? The Vikings may be able to account for it as a signing bonus for cap counting purposes but for individual purposes it's still a roster bonus. The reason it was originally a roster bonus was presumably to give Hunter leverage in contract negotiations. It would preclude the Vikings, or a trading team, from clawing the money back should he hold out on a low salary in 2023. I doubt he has unilaterally given up that leverage and that the reclassified signing bonus' could be recovered. That tweet is misleading. The Vikings always had to option of converting his roster bonus into a signing bonus. Hunter didnt have any say in it.

No risk no reward love the deal much needed. Most were saying over 20 M per year this is fantastic.Hopefully Armstead stays healthy
Yep a lot of money but if healthy he is one of the top LT's.
High injury risk + age. Yikes.
Any time you have to use "but when healthy" it's a trap and best avoided.Yep a lot of money but if healthy he is one of the top LT's.
