B I N G OWilliams is on the decline but he still has a lot of value for teams trying to win a Super Bowl. Seattle getting him also means another contender doesn't.
this is THE reason

Exactly, he can still play. And surrounded by the other talent on defense that Seattle has?I like this move a lot more than most. Williams is a starter still in his prime who will be an impact player that can help this team's pass rush and solidify the run defense. Dude's a stud and and washed up at all. We will see how it plays out but this gives the Hawks a better shot head to head with the Niners and we have lots of cap flexibility at the end of the season to see whether or not we sign him to a 3 year deal. This makes the team better for this season, keeps him from going to another NFC team and there was very little chance we were getting someone this good with that 2nd rounder so you make the move with all these young kids on the roster and a possible SB window.
The Commanders have already paid Brissett around $6.35M this year of the $8M he's due to earn. If they traded him to save the remaining salary they'd still have to pay a cheaper alternative. I just don't see a net trade of around 14 points on the old Draft chart being enough to convince them to significantly downgrade. It might need to be around 90 points, (4th & 5th with no picks going the other way). The Browns should be trying to get Brissett for a 5th or so. Get Brissett and Washington might send him and a 6th to the Browns.
3 teams reportedly in on him.
Let’s go Howie! Don’t let the Niners get him.
If not the Eagles would rather he go to the Steelers.3 teams reportedly in on him.
It would be fun to rob Chicago twice this decade. If not the Eagles would rather he go to the Steelers.
Damn. Literally the ideal player for the Cowboys. A all pro run stopper who can clog the middle and also get to the QB
29 and having his worst year of his career. Paid $10M and gave up a 2nd for a rental. Probably why a lot of teams weren't in on himDamn. Literally the ideal player for the Cowboys. A all pro run stopper who can clog the middle and also get to the QB
YepSweat to the Bears for a 2024 2nd?
I don't get it, I know they need pass rush, they had pick 2,3, and 35. They need to focus on rebuilding. Adding a late 20s guy for the right to pay him a ton of money now feels outside of the timeline for the team. Especially when they just agreed to let their 24 year old stud CB seek a trade.
Literally another trade where they give up essentially a late 1stSeriously what are the Bears thinking?
This time they at least added production with it.Literally another trade where they give up essentially a late 1st
