The Browns should be trying to get Brissett for a 5th or so. Get Brissett and Washington might send him and a 6th to the Browns.

Brissett doesn't make the mistakes Walker does....he would be a solid upgrade for Cleveland.

Too many teams need backup QBs right now, that trade cost should climb (if Washington is even willing, given Howell's sack numbers).

I don't think you can get more than a 5th for Brissett...maybe a 4th but I think that is pushing it.

They’re 3-5 now. They’re likely not making the playoffs. They’ll use Howell all season to see what they have and whether or not they’re shopping for QB this off season.

Yeah but they will need a backup if they trade Brissett....but they could always bring back McCoy since he is a FA....

I doubt Washington does much of anything tbh. They will play out the season and see where they stand because after the rag season ends, they will be looking at a new GM and HC.

With that sack rate, they're playing with fire unless they're eager to see Jake Fromm behind center.

As talented as Williams might still be, his production has been declining in recent years. Surrendering a '24 2nd and a '25 5th is a lot for a rental. But then again Seattle must be smelling blood in the water after three straight Niners losses, and want to load up as much as possible for a possible division title and hopefully forward from there. I'd grade it as a C for the Seahawks and a B+ for the Giants.

God damn Seattle doesnt learn its lesson.

You dont trade away major draft capital that forces you to sign a guy to an overvalued contract.

Seattle just gave up enough draft capital that they will likely hand him a $25AAV (at least) in the offseason when he hits FA. DT can last longer than a lot of positions. But the dude is going to be 30 years old in the offseason. And now he has a HUGE chip to leverage against Seattle's FO when talks begin because they dont want to make it look like they just gave up a 2nd rounder for a 9 game rental. This trade literally inflates Williams agent asking price by 20%.

I think I'm a little higher on this for both teams but I see what you're getting at. I'd probably put this as a B for the Seahawks and an A+ for the Giants. Williams is on the decline but he still has a lot of value for teams trying to win a Super Bowl. Seattle getting him also means another contender doesn't. Not a lot of great QB play out there so if Seattle thinks they can match up with tush push the best they can maybe they can win a Super Bowl with Geno Smith. With Cousins out of the picture, there probably are only a couple of QBs in the NFC better than Geno Smith. So I can see maybe thinking about going on a run but....still hard to picture Geno Smith winning a Super Bowl.
