I'd hang up the phone on that one. Not good enough.

The Flyers have the leverage here. We're in the playoffs as we speak. We don't have to trade anyone. We can claim that we want him for the stretch run, the playoff run and then we're going to re-sign him. Nobody could argue that because at this moment, it's real.

Our boy Stolie the Goalie put the Devils to sleep last night for Florida, up in his home state of NJ too. Now they are 8 points back of us with just 1 game in hand, despite beating us in the outdoor game. Ouch.

If the Caps are selling and the Pens continue to struggle, it may be that the Islanders are the only division rival who have a shot at catching us. They are at least winning games as of late, over some tough competition too.

So long as we do get the 1st, the rest doesn't matter much to me. Great move for the future of the franchise. Would be extraordinary if we still re-sign him in the offseason without overpaying too.

Looks like we'll see more of Attard now at the Nhl level.
