‘Not enough' — Tortorella challenges Flyers at practice
With an important week underway, John Tortorella challenged — er, coached — his Flyers at practice Monday.

Top 9 baby!!!!The Athletic has the Flyers prospect talent in the top 9.
No idea where just yet, but that's encouraging.
Hopefully he brings in something good in terms of a trade, prospect but me personally wouldn't take less than a high second round pick if not a first.![]()
Will anyone meet Philadelphia Flyers’ price for Scott Laughton at the Trade Deadline?
Laughton’s gritty game could augment a contender’s third line, but is that worth a first-round pick?www.dailyfaceoff.com
Good breakdown
I was reading that we are trying to get the Rangers first round pick next year for Laughton. So hope we can squeeze out a first round pick from a desperate team.Hopefully he brings in something good in terms of a trade, prospect but me personally wouldn't take less than a high second round pick if not a first.
Ugh would hate seeing him go to the rags but, business is business, as long as we get better and stronger I'm good with it. Unfortunately I don't think we'll shed ourselves of Risto just yet, but keeping fingers crossed.I was reading that we are trying to get the Rangers first round pick next year for Laughton. I would love if Danny B could find a way to get rid of Risto and sign Walker and Seeler.
Slow start, but Ersson made a couple big stops, we throttled them in the 2nd period and then put them to bed in the 3rd. Not pretty, but we take those, especially at this time of year.Nice 3-1 whipping of Chicago to get us to 30 wins in the Metro division!
Another vet I feel good about moving on from.TK with a beauty!!
Laughton how did you miss that open net.
Seeler beat the crap out of Johnson for taking big shots against our guys. I need more Nick Seelers on my team! Oh and another BTW 4 blocked shots.
Someone please send out an APB to find Atkinson. Im not sure hes played in a month.![]()
Avs only have a first round in the next two drafts no 2nd rounders.Seeing a lot of speculation about Laughton going to the Avs, been trying to see what they have to offer? I think it may be just a second rounder which I don't think would cut it IMO. They are saying Maybe they'd part with Girard or Byrum, I'd take Byrum.
The Avs need a Laughton type player bad, especially a third line center, Ryan Johanson has been MIA for them all season and I know they'd like to replace him badly. Hopefully it's badly enough for them to let go Byrum. Here's an article out of Denver.I'd take Girard or Byram back for Laughton in a heartbeat. Either one is a legit top 4 dman and they're 25 and 22 respectively. Between York, Sanheim, Drysdale, and Girard/Byram you've got something to work with there in your top 4. All 4 pretty good now, with Drysdale and York U-23, Byram too if that's who were to come back. There's a decent chance you could find a #1 guy out of that crew.
For Laughton? Absolutely. I'd add more to it if the Avs were serious.
Seems like a potentially important piece for the Avs to move going in to a cup run though. Would be kind of surprising to me if they went down that road at the deadline. Moving one of those guys for cap space makes more sense in the summer IMO.
If he pans out in our top 4 then paying him should be a must.Avs only have a first round in the next two drafts no 2nd rounders.
Girard makes 5 million for the next 3-4 years so that would be way too much to spend on a defenseman.
Byram makes 3,85 million for this and next seasons wed have to pay him more than that in 2 years.
Add that salary with Risto Sanheim and you have 16 million tied up on defense for only 3 players.I'd take Girard or Byram back for Laughton in a heartbeat.
