Well if they sign Kershaw and Suzuki then could be both trying to compete this year and ahead although we would have to have great pitching to do well this year

Yes, winning "ahead" would be in the plans either way. If we sign some guys longterm it will become very tempting to trade prospects who are no longer needed, to acquire additional help for this year.

with what we have available it is logical to assume that IKF would be the lead candidate for 3B to open the season. i can't think of anyone else to put there on a full-time basis unless we sign a FA
