Story is a much better defender.. wonder if Story would play 3B 1st year then move to SS next year with Seager sliding over to 3B.
Jung can move to COF/DH next year
Yes I if we somehow snarf up Story, how we fit the puzzle together defensively is a mind blower

He’s pretty damn fast and has a high baseball IQ
CF would be awesome IMO

Those routes are hard to pick up but honestly if we had him for 4 years and he can do that would be awesome

We need a CF and get Adolis back over to RF. I shutter every time he goes to the wall or dives for the ball.

If they signed him they would have a "chance" at making the playoffs with all the new firepower the team has now, be like some of the older lineups but a bit better defensively I think...

can't see it happening but if it did we would be saying goodbye to Solak, Willie and 3 or 4 others to clear 40-man spots for Story, Richards, Miller, Bush etc

From Levi Weaver's report yesterday:

“I think Allard and Tropeano could probably potentially pitch in a multi-inning role,” Woodward said. “Kolby has started and he’s been in the bullpen for us, he’s done both. He’s a pretty valuable arm, depending on how he looks. And maybe his best role is a two or three (inning), one time through (the lineup) and just give everything he’s got. Or he can still develop and start but we’re gonna build him up to throw innings. Tropeano the same thing.”

Probably not but the consensus before was to sign Story, then they turned around and signed Seager/Semien instead... So never say never... :nono:

I'm fairly certain that at least 2 will be gone and a couple others will go on waivers, which ones is the $64K question...

I think they want really White/Taveras to be able to play CF so Garcia doesn't have to, the other to waivers. (I'm guessing they aren't confidant of this happening hence the signing of the K. Calhoun, which could end up being a mistake)...

I think LF will be a platoon between Miller and Culberson/Solak/Calhoun, with 1 or 2 being released traded...

I think 3B will be a platoon of Ibanez and Carpenter/Hernandez the other going to waivers... (Then again they could but Miller at 3B as rumored)...

Then again I think a couple of pitchers have to go back to the 60 day DL and that might spare a few of those bodies temporarily if they don't keep a couple of the recently signed pitchers...

A lot of moving parts right now and things are just getting started in ST so I may end up being way off base in about 3 weeks... :noidea: :D

i see Kole as the DH so Willie hasn't got a spot. Garcia in RF with Taveras with in CF. think you're right abut Miller & Culberson in LF.

like you, think we see Ibanez/Hernandez/Carpenter at 3B.

of course, on the out-of-the-blue chance we somehow sign Story i see:

Outfield: Story/Taveras/Garcia/Miller/Culberson

Infield: Lowe/Semien/Seagar/ (Ibanez. Hernandez, Culberson)

Catcher: Garver/Trevino/Heim

Let’s sign Story then trade for a pitcher and a CF
