Rodgers coming to Denver was an undeniably exciting option - I like Rodgers and I admit that I uttered an "oh ****" when I first saw the news today ...

But the fact that he re-upped with the Packers makes me feel a little different about him, and this entire overly dramatic situation ..... Believe me, this isn;t sour grapes or animosity towards Rodgers - I still like him and would like for the team to succeed ..

The fact that the only thing actually changed is his salary and contract hints at this whole thing being a ploy to force his demands on an organization ....

Did Rodgers ever give serious thought to leaving the Packers ?? .. Was Denver a team he actually wanted to play for ? .... or have the past few years of this overly dramatic, borderline temper tantrum, just a ruse to force his hand -- the only option there ever was -- remaining in GB ??

I'd love for the Broncos to roll with Drew Lock, have another great draft, and say as far away from the plethora of failed journeymen QBs that have become available because they've never won anything ......

"Denver informed quarterback Drew Lock he is part of the package headed to Seattle, Pelissero added."

Sutton, Jeudy, Patrick, Hamler. Not surprised Hamilton is being released. Our WR corps is pretty sick! Now we have a QB that can get them the ball. I see Albert O becoming a household name too!

Broncos releasing WR DaeSean Hamilton

Releasing???? His contract was up after this past year anyway. Probably releasing him off the non football injury list because he has been cleared I am guessing.

You should let them know they don't have to release him with his contract expiring. They don't own his rights going into the new year... He is an UFA. Odd article.

Think you’re wrong on this. It shows him as UFA now because he was waived. He signed a four year deal after 2018 draft making him a 2023 UFA. I could be missing something, but that’s the way I see it.

Ahhhh- Did not realize he signed another contract before his rookie contract was up. I don't even remember that happening. Seems odd to me that he signed a 2nd contract before his rookie contract was up beings he wasn't all that productive here.

His cap hit was 2.18 this coming year????

Good catch on him signing after the 2018 season. I guess the good thing is I didn't plan on him being around anyway so same thing. He aint here.

I don’t remember that either. Not a big enough contract to try to create CAP space. Related to the 49er deal. Or her got hurt offsite so something in the contract pushed it forward a year?

So what you're saying is that I'm not a complete idiot. Haha! TBH, I didn't realize he signed that 2nd contract either. I just saw the report that he was being waived. At the end of the day, he wasn't in any of the Broncos plans anyway so saving some CAP space is just more Paton magic at work!

I liked DaeSean Hamilton .. He is a class act, and very close and inspiring in regards to his brother Darius, who has health challenges and is autistic

"He's everything you could want from a young man," Penn State coach James Franklin said of DaeSean

Franklin stops midsentence, searching for the appropriate way to explain his last four years with the one player who has meant so much to the turnaround at Penn State from the dark days of not long ago.

"No," Franklin corrects himself, "he's everything you'd want in a son."
