Gallup 5 years $62.5M
Seems like a dumb move to me. We got all these FA defenders we going to lose and they sign "both" Gallup and Schultz? How about spending money on defense like recent Superbowl teams have done? The Rams are constantly spending on defense.

Let's see the exact details but seems like a great signing to me. Signed for about what Patrick got but more years and he is a much better player than Patrick. Obviously this will be structured with a low year 1 cap hit. I know there were injury issues, but Gallup is a good #2 WR at worst. I'd still like to see us bring back Wilson as well. I think Lamb, Gallup and Wilson is more than solid.

We can’t afford Wilson and should not stretch for him. At some point, our 40 million QB needs to make things happen with whomever is on the field. We do need defensive help.

Can't afford him? How much is it that you think Wilson is going to get? He was a below the radar #4 WR for almost his whole career.

Agree on Wilson. I’ll be interested to see what the market is for him but I do like what he brings to the table here. Just as important as well is QB1 seems to trust him.

supposedly Wilson is going to draw interest in the market and Dallas can not get in a bidding war.

I fully expect the Jones circus act will let Wilson walk and draft the Arkansas wide at 24. Burks is a great prospect but in the end, I fear it will be Cooper for Burks.

Well because of the Cap it will be Cooper for Gallup and Burks if they do draft him.

thats exactly what the Jones's will say

I'd still prefer Cooper for Gallup & and of the 4 Georgia defensive fellows
I'd be fine going D. I just used the player you mentioned. As of now I'm not locked on any player or position. BPA unless it's QB or RB.

I'm totally locked in at 24 for any of the 4 Georgia guys mentioned and pretty close on Trevor Penning if we lose Collins in a trade.
AND... I'll say IF (big if) we lose Gregory, I'm standing naked in round two calling for Boye Mafe. Mafe is going to be a star in this league with health.

and since you brought this up, let me add. LOL

I still love me some Dak Prescott BUT, how many weapons must he have? There weren't enough footballs last year.
BUILD ON the oline & defense seems sound for the first 3 picks and hope McClay breaks any ties in the war room.

And Safety?...GOD, PLEASE!

If we lose Gregory, I'm probably standing right next to you.

Oh wait. You said naked...... nevermind I'll keep my distance.

After FA's are signed I'll look closer at who and where.

We need to get better on the OLine, but yes D needs the help more than O.

and that may be cause I over-valued Prescott's abilities a little. (key word here: may)
Maybe. If so then so did I.

I hate being a woulda/coulda person, but damn I wish they signed him after year 3, before those other QBs reset the market.

If they did, Dak wouldn't be eating up so much cap space and if necessary the team would be able to go with another option.

IMO like nearly ever QB Dak is overpaid, but I think he can lead this team to a SB win. To many (not you) tend to put all or at least most blame on the QB ignoring the multiple other issues on the team.

I just put the bolded in the political category.
It's just pay back for the Romo years. :mad2:
