As far as Cooper goes. Cutting him or not will be decided by 3/20.
Now he is still tradeable. His contract is decently cheap for #1 WRs in this overspending for players. Just. Could we find a suitor, before 3/20.
Heard spitball rumors about the ravens but didnt put much stock into it. If a team were to trade for him with the idea of him being their #1. He is still under contract for 3 more years. I like Cooper, but I think it would be great to find a trade partner.

Cowboys may need to draft a TE. Schultz will be too expensive. Its sad Jarwin is more injury prone than Sean Lee. He barely played the past two seasons. Jarwin is a waste of Cap space
I agree and that is a shame

Escobar was a major bust. I hated that pick as soon as it was announced. We did not need to draft a TE at that time, especially in the mid second round. There were also much better TE still on the board when he was taken. Whoever made that decision was a moron. Escobar had like a 5th or 6th round rating0 if i remember correctly.

Releasing Coop (16m), Brown (5m) & Jarwin (3.8m) together pretty much add up to Gregory's transition tag (16m) and Schultz's franchise tag (10.8m) +/- 2m.
Dak's contract will be restructured and they will move some other contracts around to create cap.
Personally I hope neither get those tags. I want both back, but think Gregory may sign a cheaper deal to stay here and I'd be fine transition tagging Schultz to see if anyone really wanted to sign him for 10+ million.

I hope Gregory gives a home discount as Dallas supported him through the hard years.

But you know the saying

Hope for the best, but expect the worst.

I like Cooper but he has been injury prone lately.

I think if they could lose anybody it might be him. Gallup, Lamb, Wilson and maybe a rookie should be enough.

And I'd hate to not keep my man Gregory who has finally gotten off the schneide.

And I'd still dump Zeke if push came to shove.
Zeke never should have been extended. The Cowboys caved when he held out. They should have said ok holdout and hold your breath we are going ahead with business as usual. Now since they capitulated to Zeke they are stuck with a RB that is over paid for his production. He will be a cap cut next offseason. You can replace his on field production with a draft pick.

YEP....these reactionary fuckers (Jerry & Stephen) remain all about attention to the brand in the offseason.
With all the other needs this team is going to have to address, this isn’t the one I would have thought to find at the top of the list. Gonna be a REAL interesting offseason watching how Jones & Jones spin the losses we’ll see.

key word here is reactionary, and when the shit dries, we released Cooper to sign Schultz & Gallup.
Makes perfect sense to me

AND...I will admit it. I think Schultz is a run of the mill TE.
This whole circus act is pissing me off more each year
Seems like some are treating Schultz as the next Jason Witten. He is NOT that. Schultz sucks as a blocker. He does not even try to block. Its like he avoids it!!!
