Chase only cost the Pats $966K while Wilson will cost $2.5M. Hope he's worth it.

I hadn't seen any reports of him connected to the Pats. What I read was Buffalo and two other teams that I can't remember but aren't the Patriots.

Definitely a very good player.
Was a very good player. He has been declining past few years.

I expect a team to pay a lot for what he was.

Patriots re-signed RB James White to a two-year, $5 million contract.

The deal reportedly has only $500,000 in guarantees per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. White was lost for the season late in September to a hip subluxation, but should resume his role as third-down back in front of Brandon Bolden if he didn't leave any of his speed or skill on the operating table. It remains to be seen how that translates in fantasy with Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson both rising last season, but White should still be a useful fantasy player.

That's a solid signing if he comes back 100%

I love James White but I gotta say Brandon Bolden was kinda growing on me last year. He filled that role rather nicely IMO.

So far, so good. Money seems to be getting spent wisely.

Just need to trim some useless money. Let's start alphabetically.

Any idea how much money they can clip by not resigning Hightower?

I know the dudes been part of some big time games but it sure seems like it's time to move on.

Bolden's biggest issue last year was Skippy not being aware of his limitations... But damn if he didn't play through those limitations and win his plays anyways.

Total compensation last year was $12.4 million. He will not get that this year.
He has no cap effect unless we sign him.
We currently do not have enough cap space for any of the splash signing the media is talking about.
Most of the "reasonable" players are still asking too much.
This is more like a typical BB FA year. Buy cheap and stay away from "shiny objects"

I imagine that any offer Hightower can get will cause him to reconsider retirement.

Two average DB's that can play special teams?????
We could get Nik Needham for 3.9 million. He is fast, covers well, tackles well, smart, and is excellent on special teams.
Miami has the right to match. Cheap but would cost us a 2nd.....
Miami might feel compelled to match but that would mean they have to spend more!
This guy is a future star!

Terrance Mitchell...Come on down...

6th Team now?
Nice pick up for $3M prove it.
He's not the ball hawk JC was nor is he a total shut down corner but can play the outside pretty well. He could work out very well in a BB schemed D. He won't fill the stat sheet but should be able to hold his own, especially if NE gets quicker up front.
B- signing.
