Mecca of the “B” Team

Y'all wanna clutch your pearls about something, I present Vernon Maxwell...lol
Exactly spme people on here will always find a way to defend him. Guy been a trash talker is entire career but now we should be concerned about what Poole possibly said to him? Don't dish the trash talking if you cant take it. Had this been a guy who isn't a trash talker then we can roll with that lame ass excuse
It's literally the only thing I remember him for. Being a Knick and punching Kobe. I couldn't tell you if he was any good or not, lol.Gave Kobe that 2 piece and a biscuit....lol
He was out of line, full stop.
It will be interesting to see if the league does anything now that the video is out.
Technically, the league doesn't have jurisdiction over things that happen in practice. That's up to the team.
Will the league try to take action based on the video being leaked and will the union let them?
Also, who leaked the video?
Let's all quit pretending Poole is some innocent victim. They were both talking, Dray got chest to chest, Poole gave him a hard shove and Draymond decked him.
Draymond overreacted, but like I said yesterday, Poole shouldn't poke the bigger bear.
Not entirely accurate. It will be interesting to see if the league does anything now that the video is out.

It was words.Draymond was the aggressor. Had he stayed where he was at and continued talking to Poole then this doesn't happen. Where Poole messed up at was not throwing the first punch once Draymond approached him. Must swing first in that situation

Not entirely accurate.
The NBA suspended Sprewell for choking PJ out at practice.
It wasn't the Dubs.
They tried to terminate his contract.
The NBA gave him a year and it was reduced to 68 games.
NBA suspends Latrell Sprewell for attacking coach | December 4, 1997 | HISTORY
On December 4, 1997, the National Basketball Association (NBA) suspends Latrell Sprewell, three‑time All Star point guard for the Golden State Warriors, for one year after he attacked Warriors’ coach P.J. Carlesimo. During practice on December 1, Sprewell had a verbal confrontation with...www.history.com
Yeah...Oh, I agree that Dray was the aggressor as he was the one who walked over to Poole and got chest to chest.
But Dray didn't punch him until Poole shoved him.
Agree that if Poole was going to shove him, just go ahead and punch him because you have to assume what's going to come back is gonna be a punch. That's Fighting 101.
Why is that different?lol
I'd say choking a coach is a little more serious than punching a teammate. Teammates fighting happens a lot more regularly than players choking coaches.
Why is that different?
They both assaulted a member of the Organization because of words.
Its not like he choked Hubie Brown.
PJ was in his 40's.
I mean, he threw a punch.
So, his intent was to fuck him up.
Based on the outcome * no missing teeth, black eyes, broken nose *, I don't think it will be more than a few games.
...and again: Video changes things.
Remember when Mixon hit that girl in College?
Everyone thought he was a bitch, pre video.
But, after it came out!
Absolute piece of dog shit.
Still, he didn't get punished as harsh as he should have.

You mean to say that a person who disrespects everyone and bullies some of them isn't worthy of being a leader?
Okay, we are arguing two different things.Because teammates fight regularly, it's kind of expected. That's why I'm finding all of this pearl clutching over Draymond and Poole to be hilarious, but also sad that this shit is now infecting sports.
The difference is that Latrell Sprewell was a young athlete in top condition and PJ was a 40+ year old coach who wasn't anywhere close to being in the physical condition that Sprewell was in.
Also, it wasn't like he just punched or pushed him, he was choking him and didn't stop until teammates and coaches pulled him off. also, the choke wasn't the only thing that happened and wasn't Sprewells first violent act.
"A significant blemish on Sprewell's career occurred on December 1, 1997, when he attacked head coach P. J. Carlesimo during a Warriors practice in Oakland. When Carlesimo yelled at Sprewell to make crisper passes (specifically asking him to "put a little mustard" on a pass), Sprewell responded that he was not in the mood for criticism and told the coach to keep his distance. When Carlesimo approached, Sprewell threatened to kill him and dragged him backward by his throat, choking him for 7–10 seconds before his teammates and assistant coaches pulled him off Carlesimo. Sprewell returned about 20 minutes later after showering and changing and again accosted Carlesimo. He landed a glancing blow at Carlesimo's right cheek before being dragged away again by the assistant coaches. This was not Sprewell's first violent incident with the Warriors; in 1995, he fought with teammate Jerome Kersey, returned to practice carrying a two-by-four, and reportedly threatened to return with a gun."
That is why he was punished the way he was.
