I am not expecting much from the Lakers this year. Whether they want to admit it or not, they are going to be in at least semi-rebuild mode for awhile especially as James nears his departure in a couple of years.

For me, it's insane to be so invested in preserving cap space when it isn't enough to get a top free agent.

Also, gotta be terrifying to tie Lebron's last championship years to hoping and praying that nut job, Kyrie, comes to save him.

Wouldn't it be wiser to wait for the Wiz to implode and throw 2023, 2027 and 2029 to Washington for Beal this Summer?

His contract is huge. But, at least he isn't crazy.

My guess it is more along the lines that people found out about them so she wanted to be done and he didn't. Probably a lot of unwanted texts and dialogue at that point. Lord knows how weird he got. She likely cut it suddenly.

Yeah they could have more options once they can trade Beverly and Lonnie walker

In theory by Christmas they could send those 2 and both picks for turner and figure out a Russ deal later or they just roll with Russ at that point.

But all this preserving cap space and besides kyrie; who are you gonna sign that’s better than turner?
