@trojanfan12 @Mamba @Retroram52 @shopson67 @Black Adam

Do you guys know who Keith Smith is?

He's the guy who does the cap stuff on spotrac.

He and the Lakers nation Dude, Trevor Lane , have this YouTube show called NBA front office.

They discussed some stuff today that makes me think @The Q is right.

Lakers need to do the Utah trade.

Because the cap went up, LeBron and Ad's number does as well.

So, even if you renounce everyone on the roster, get off Christie and your 1st round pick, you can't get to a max offer slot.

With the guys currently signed, the player options, the minimum contract cap holds, the 1st round pick...you will have 25 mil in cap space.

Ummmmm, no bueno.

You can't even make a small trade for just Bogdanovic or Held because you have no medium contracts.

So, why not trade Russ for all those smaller parts and use those guys to do other deals?

Kyrie is probably willing to take a pay cut.

But, 16 mil per?

I wouldn't punt the Season.

Video should start on the part about the Lakers.

Yeah he's a great follow but celtics homer so i stopped following him during the ECF. Time to get back on his twitter

....and the Magic...lol

Yeah, I can only watch either of those guys when its on neutral ground.

They stay pretty unbiased on the Front Office show.

Yes. It was always unlikely they’d have enough cap space for what they wanted

You would think the inclusion of Conley and Clarkson would drop the price.

If Clarkson picks up his option, you are eating 28 mil MINIMUM in salary for next year.

I would say that's fucking unreasonable.

But, it's Danny Ainge.

I would still do it for both picks if I could recoup a 1st rounder by dealing Clarkson.

The Lakers biggest obstacle is that they only have Westbrook's oversized contract.

It's much easier to deal 45 mil if its broken up into three 15 mil dollar deals.

There are teams interested in Clarkson.

But, Conley you'd be stuck with.
What are we assuming the Utah deal is?

Saw some shaved ribeye defrosting in the kitchen. Not sure what is for dinner but it can't be bad with ribeye.

The wife's on her way home.

It’s hard to say

But pretending clarkson is a negative trade asset is laughable

I don’t think any of them are a negative trade asset. Conley is maybe the closest to neutral

But you get 3 guys

I think they should get Conley, they seem bizarrely happy with bev and nunn (who was absolutely torched in the ‘offs, whcih is why Miami let him go so cheaply

If we're giving up both 1st rounders.....I'd want Bog, Beasley and Clarkson and keep them all. If we have very little cap space next summer.

Exercise the option on Beasley and hope Clarkson opts in.

Plus, they can sell those guys for other stuff.

Try to deal Clarkson for a pick.

Or, see if you can flip him for Cam Reddish

.....Buddy Heild....

Way more possibilities with smaller contracts.

Nah. Gotta get both for that

I agree.

But, the Lakers aren't budging like @Retroram52 said.

I think its shortsighted on their part if teams are really willing to give up a pick for Clarkson.

Not sure what the Bucks were trying to send out, along with a pick...

But, I'd find out if it's feasible.

Likely an expiring contract. They could probably replace brook with D12 or something.

In the scenario I quoted, they only sacraficed 1 pick because of Conley.

If it's 2 picks, for sure Beas.

Both teams should probably do that. Take a shot that either Lakers pick is better than the pick the Bucks could offer.

Do you play fantasy basketball?

Why is Tyrese Halliburton in the top 20?

He's good and will make another jump.

But, should I take him before Booker, George, Siakam when I an get Brunson in the 70's?

If CP wants out of Phoenix.....I'd settle for trading RW, a 1st rounder, a 1st round pick swap and a 2nd rounder for CP, Crowder, and Craig.

Gives us a PG in CP, another dog in Crowder and a few wings with him and Craig.

If they absolutely pushed for both 1st rounders. I might do it but IDK.....CP is the only one under contract beyond this coming season.

I don't, but what is the scoring format?

But just eyeballing it, it looks like you have the right idea. Some leagues are super PG friendly though, so gotta watch out for that.

Look at how the best players in your league were last year (based on scoring system).

For both firsts you can get Crowder. For one, you get Saric.
