The Knicks have a lot of picks....they could go shopping at Danny's veterans must go fire sale....that may be smarter than adding Mitchell.

Mitchell wasn't turning them into a contender anyway....

We will see with Bickerstaff. This starting lineup are all players that do play top level defense except Garland. Garland hopefully can develop like Steph defensively…maybe all that motivates him to be an average defender. Not expecting much defensively from him.

On another note, I think the Cavs are very happy to not give up Okoro and LeVert. They seem to love LeVert
I like Caris.

He didn't fair as well as I wanted him to with the Cavs.

But, lets see what he does with a full camp and a defined role.

He's the ying to Okoro's yang.

Levert can get buckets.

Yeah, I will wait to judge the Utah side before seeing what he does with the players.

I always assumed his plan was to tank this year. And I don’t think these players do him any favors on that front.
He is stockpiling players to flip for even more picks....

They weren’t though

If anything they overachieved.

No superstars and their second best player was Rudy Gobert.
I tend to agree with you here about them over achieving. I see Mitchell as a poor man’s Iverson. In the end, Iverson’s best team was AI and a bunch of defense first guys who didn’t need shots plus Aaron McKie off the bench. The comparisons are strangely on the money:
AI - Mitchell
Dikembe- Gobert
McKie - Clarkson (maybe not their games; but their team’s reliance upon them being secondary scorer off the bench)

I think Mitchell needs that kind of group to thrive. AI was stubborn and refused to evolve and make talent around him better. Maybe Mitchell is less stubborn and figured it out. Time will tell.

Eh.....

It's New York.

You can't make them believe you are gonna get Donovan. Mitchell. But, end up with Jordan Clarkson instead.

The only reason Lakers Nation is not rioting over getting Beverley instead of Kyrie's is....

I. It was not in your power to get a deal done because the Nets refused to trade him.

2. Because you still have hope that a deal for quality role players can materialize.

The Knicks could have gotten a deal done.

But, refused to be extorted.

Knick fans are probably unhappy with that decision.

We've talked about John Wall and empty stats. In his last 72 games his VORP Is 1.2

RJ was .2 last year.
Yeah.

Wall's numbers in Houston are meaningless.

Empty calories.

Wall's numbers in Washington were not good at that price point.

He was MASSIVELY overpaid.

But, like I said with Westbrook...

Westbrook at 47 million is a fucking albatross.

On the vet min or even mini midlevel, which is what we signed Wall to?

Tolerable.

Its all about price point.

I'm taking Sexton for 18 over RJ at 30.

Barrett is not a max guy.

Why you hate RJ so much? He may get better

RJ’s expectations were too high. He got more love than he should have next to Zion in Duke. Can he be a decent starter/#3 option in this league for a long time. I believe that but the second he got drafted I didn’t think he was anything special
