Dwight has resurrected his career by accepting that he's not THAT Dwight any more and taking on a lesser, but still useful role. It has gotten him a ring and there's interest in him every off season.

If Westbrook were smart, he'd do the same.
I don't know that the Lakers were looking to keep him this offseason, but he would've done himself some favors if he wouldn't jump from team to team so often. It would allow him to better establish a role IMO.

In fairness....DH is a backup big.

RW could be a 6th man of year type if he accepted it. Which he won't of course.
It would take an ideal franchise fit for that to happen for Russ IMO if was even willing. His broken jumper is a huge demerit.

Makes sense. It is a damn good regular season roster. Make improvements at the deadline when needed. Asking price is just too much for Mitchell and KD

Well, the Nets can't take back Bam since they have Simmons so........

Better start shooting treys.....LOL.

Boban is extraordinarily skilled and he can’t get on the court.

If you can’t move laterally as a big, nothing else matters. You get exposed on pick and role.

Gone are the days where teams could root a 7’6” in the paint and let him just protect the rim.

Let's be honest, the only way Green touches that number is dependent on one simple thing: Steph tells the Warriors to pay him that.

I'm honestly not sure what the market would look like for Draymond. High side for me I think would be something similar to Kyle Lowry's heat deal (3/90). But even that is kind of pushing it considering the mileage on Draymond. 3/75M not even a question, you pay him that. 4/140 is ridiculous.

From what I've read, the Warriors are willing to pay whatever it takes to keep their assets together..... :trash:

He's not getting more elsewhere. His appeal is to a team needing that push to true contender, and they won't have that kind of cap to spend on a player like him. Well, maybe the Knicks lol.

Yeah his value is to a contender. On top of that given his career, he's not going to just go for a cash out on a team that sucks. He barely made it coasting through a single season where the Warriors were shit in 2020.

Warriors will call his bluff and he'll be resigned but for a much lower figure. Out of the aging vets, Steph is the only one that will still (deservedly so) get the cash outs.

Decent article on why the Nets might fear a deal centered around Jaylen Brown -- because of the need to re-sign him before the '24'25 season:

Looked at this way, it's pretty far from a slam dunk that a deal between the Celtics and Nets ends up going down.
This article made my day. In a Sixers-centric world, this is Harden insurance. It may not work out this year with Embiid Harden. Maybe Harden is really cooked. Can’t get to the rim anymore. Shoots 40% from the field or worse. Harden opts in for 37 million knowing he can’t get better. Tobias Harris 39 million and Harden’s 37 million come off the books for 24-25. Sixers have the last Big 3 shot in the Embiid tenure with Maxey him and Jaylon Brown. The qualifying offer for Maxey only accounts for 6.5 million of their cap. They can offer Brown a near max.
