If no KD trade goes down and Brown stays in green, I fully expect the C's to put a full-court press on to resign Brown before he hits the open market. This article made my day. In a Sixers-centric world, this is Harden insurance. It may not work out this year with Embiid Harden. Maybe Harden is really cooked. Can’t get to the rim anymore. Shoots 40% from the field or worse. Harden opts in for 37 million knowing he can’t get better. Tobias Harris 39 million and Harden’s 37 million come off the books for 24-25. Sixers have the last Big 3 shot in the Embiid tenure with Maxey him and Jaylon Brown. The qualifying offer for Maxey only accounts for 6.5 million of their cap. They can offer Brown a near max.
I haven't researched enough to know if the C's (as the team that drafted him) have some advantage with Brown... such as the ability to pay him more money.
