I heard it depends on what his number is.

If it's 12 mil or below, they match.

But, only as trade bait later, like you mentioned.

I think they try to trick someone into taking Isaacs first.

He plays the same position as Jabari.

If the Magic were crazy enough to take Chet, he's 2 years away from being 2 years away to being able to play the center position.
I don’t think he’s ever a Center tbh. I think he’s a stretch 4 and off the ball shot blocker in his best version of himself. The top end for him is Dirk (doubt he actually realizes it).

They are either unloading assets for not much salary in return, not likely, or if LaVine really wants to go to ATL then a sign-and-trade where Chicago gets assets back. Kinda like KD, GS and BKN.

I would take Isaac

He’s a good player but has missed 2 straight years due to an acl.

If Portland can’t get grant they could settle on Isaac and use 7 for aforementioned Dort trade
#7 for Dort is steep, no?

The only reason OKC is considering it is to avoid extending him.

I even keep seeing rumors of SG-A being available....which is crazy.

I get that they are years away.

But, unless they really believe Giddy and Dyson Daniels at #12 are their Aussie backcourt duo of the future, hold on to SG-A.

I wouldn't touch that Isaac deal if I'm Portland.

Way to many unknowns.

At his peak, he was just under a 12ppg scorer.

That's not a Embiid high risk, high reward situation.

That's a Jonathon Bender/Darius Miles like shitshow.

I'd gladly give them Marcus Morris for Josh Hart if they are just taking Dudes.

I said Atlanta when the dumbass Lakers rumors were discussed.

Would you rather have Westbrook or Collins and maybe Huerter?

He'll be Mike Dunleavy Jr 2.0. But, a better defender.

It was supposedly 7 for Dort and a pick (and that pick is where the haggling is). if it was 12....that's fine IMO. That still gives you options. Like 12 and the TPE to add someone else on top of Dort.

Portland should go for SGA. Even if it puts them in a weird spot.

They could always sign and trade Simons.

You can keep saying that until it's true (re: Tom Brady). You'll be proven right eventually.
Indeed! And it's starting for LeBron. He used to be easily the best player in the league, for like a dozen years which is ridiculous. Now, he's not really top 5 even.

Absolutely not. However, injuries can derail any team (and are doing so in these very playoffs). I don't want to hear about father time when guys in their prime can't stay on the court in the playoffs.
Injuries derail teams with injury prone (AD) or old (LeBron) players more than most.

Look, you're a Laker fan. Good for you. Root for 'em, talk 'em up here. There's a small chance they stay healthy next year and maybe get a middle playoff seed (4-6). Good for them. Not contenders, but you'll see.

I'd do RW and 1 future 1st rounder for Collins and Huerter. Not 2 future picks though.

Gives us a shooter in Huerter and I'd play Collins as a small C so AD can play PF. Also like that Collins can shoot as a big. We'd need some depth, maybe Monk comes back on a cheaper deal and we bring back Melo for the bench.

I just think he has serious question marks.....
Sure.

Low motor, string bean.

Even if neither changes, he's not Dunleavy.

But, yeah....

He could bust.

I don't believe he will.

Like, it's pretty clear Ayton should not have been higher than #3 right?

He's still not a bust.

Just won't ever live up to his draft position because of the guys taken after him.

G-Monk
G-Huerter
F-James
F-AD
C-Collins

Bench

G-Reaves
G-THT
F-Melo
F-Johnson
C-Gabriel

We'd need a few more guys for the bench. Hopefully, some guys who can play defense.

Why is atl doing that?
