I’m just posting what Shams and Woj have been saying lol. At this point, nobody seems to have much interest in Kyrie, even the Lakers have questions it seems
They don't want to include draft picks with James still unsure on an extention.

We still don’t know that for sure. The Lakers knew how Lebron worked his contracts, he has been doing this his entire career. The fact is we don’t know if a Lebron extension is holding up a Kyrie trade…that all rumor. It could be that Kyrie is a nutcase and the Lakers know this. Plus you are banking on a Kyrie extension, otherwise it’s a one year rental as well
It's a rumor but it also makes some sense if you think about it.

Why trade those away if James leaves next summer and there's no guarantee Irving would sign an extension if James isn't there. So they'd have traded future draft capital for a 1 year rental.

You do realize it could be a 1 year rental even after the trade. Kyrie has to commit, something he has never done in his career.

If James had agreed to an extension, chances are he would.

Not so much if James doesn't.

Your opinion. Do you have a link?

It was tweeted out (don't remember by who) that the Lakers want Curry rather than Harris. I don't know if that's the hold up or not. But it would make sense if the Lakers are trying to find ways to sweeten the deal or bring in a 3rd team to take Harris and they get Curry.

It also could be as simple as the Nets appear to be focusing more on KD right now. They know the Lakers likely aren't going anywhere, so they can make them and Kyrie wait while they work on KD.

Also, if the Lakers are smart, they are taking their time as well. Right now, they would be negotiating against themselves by pursuing Kyrie too aggressively. If the Nets get what they want in a KD deal, they may be more willing to give the Lakers what they want in a Kyrie deal.

Be patient.

No other team wants Irving, no need to bid against ourselves.
