Who knew we had 800K to sign anyone.Don't know what to think at this point. Nice to see G signing with Ottawa, though.

Another pass from me, guy gets to emotionally distracted. That's a hard habit to break and you can see it has been ingrained in him since his youth. I would rather they spend money elsewhere. Just my humble opinion.First Gaudreau, now Tkachuk? Another star is poised to leave Flames
Less than a week after losing Johnny Gaudreau, the Calgary Flames now very much appear on the brink of having to part with Matthew Tkachuk. That’s the most reasonable way to interpret news late Monday that the Flames have filed to take Tkachuk to salary arbitration.www.sportsnet.ca
We need to figure out who to trade Calgary for this guy.
Start with TK, Prov/Sanheim and Frost and go from there.
How upset must the Flames fans be.First Gaudreau, now Tkachuk? Another star is poised to leave Flames

I guess since it would cost us draft picks i wouldnt do it but if you add up the money between TK Prov and Frost its almost 13 million and he would sign for around 9 million so money wouldn't be the problem.Another pass from me, guy gets to emotionally distracted. JVR for Thachuk straight up. Done deal.I guess since it would cost us draft picks i wouldnt do it but if you add up the money between TK Prov and Frost its almost 13 million and he would sign for around 9 million so money wouldn't be the problem.
Yea but even do, how beneficial is he to the team? I wanna start wrapping that money up in game changing players.I guess since it would cost us draft picks i wouldnt do it but if you add up the money between TK Prov and Frost its almost 13 million and he would sign for around 9 million so money wouldn't be the problem.
I'd do that, as long as that was the only cost.JVR for Thachuk straight up. Done deal.
Yeah who needs a guy who had 42 goals and 104 points hits everything that moves and will fight anyone and is only 24 and is 6'2" and 201 pounds . Oh an plus 57 was pretty good as well.Yea but even do, how beneficial is he to the team? I wanna start wrapping that money up in game changing players.

We don't. The only way they can have enough guys for opening night is to start Ellis on LTIR.Who knew we had 800K to sign anyone.
I wonder what we are going to do if he Ellis is playable? How are we ever going to get under the cap as we still have to pay McEwen and Tippet? We don't. The only way they can have enough guys for opening night is to start Ellis on LTIR.
That is a good resume, but I also want to point out how his emotions cost his team a lot of goals. He was absolutely disastrous in the playoffs and cost his team not one but two of those games, 1 against Dallas and 1 against Edmonton. I guess at this point it wouldn't matter because he would just be a decent player on a below average team.Yeah who needs a guy who had 42 goals and 104 points hits everything that moves and will fight anyone and is only 24 and is 6'2" and 201 pounds . Is there really an advantage to signing McEwen? Well it does seem that it would fit the mold though.I wonder what we are going to do if he Ellis is playable? How are we ever going to get under the cap as we still have to pay McEwen and Tippet?
If guys costing us games with dumb penalties was a concern of ours we wouldn't have half our team from the last 10 years. Might as well have a 24 year old who is a big tough 40 goal scorer on our team. That is a good resume, but I also want to point out how his emotions cost his team a lot of goals. 99.99999% sure Ellis will miss the start. If a miracle happens and he can play, then Farabee could go LTIR. If both guys are on the opening night roster, there could be $1.7 mill in cap space. 12 forwards, 7 dmen, 2 goalies (Sandstrom as the back up). If Brink starts in AHL, they have room for both MacEwen and Tippett.I wonder what we are going to do if he Ellis is playable? How are we ever going to get under the cap as we still have to pay McEwen and Tippet?
