We had just picked Sanheim and Prov high in the draft in the drafts before Makars draft so Hextall would never have picked another defensemen with the second pick. He outsmarted himself and screwed us in the process.

Tehy are really going to have to be judicious in their transactions because we have the double whammy of cap hell AND no real assets to move to get better. So, the Avs template is there to read and follow and if they pick their choice transaction correctly, we may see daylight in say two-to-three years.
