It's funny though the difference in eras that you mentioned.

I was watching that game with a friend of mine who was a Celtics fan.

We both said basically the same thing..."That was kind of a hard foul". No talk of giving him a tech or kicking him out. lol

In fact, a few years later, we both kind of credited that for the Showtime Lakers winning 3 more titles because it taught them how far you had to be willing to go to win.
