No Smart.

But, everyone else is probably playing.

I don’t think it will be a blowout, especially if Reaves and Lonnie are back.

Celtics are on a 3 game losing streak.

What is Davis’ minutes restriction?

Celtics need Marcus back. His importance to the team doesn't always show up in the box score.

I just don’t see the value in adding a volume shooter to be the third option to LeBron and AD. To me it just seems like a move to grab a name without regard to fit. The fit isn’t horrible. I just don’t think it maximizes what the Lakers already are. For example, I think better use of the Westbrook expiring would be the Turner Hield move. They get shooting to space the floor from both players. Turner helps AD stay at the 4 where he feels most comfortable and Turner provides nice rim protection. Hield is just a professional shooter and in a 7 game series is a threat to shoot out of his mind in 1-2 matchups in a series. I think these guys have holes in their game that don’t allow them to be among the elite but in the right spot can be glue guys for a winner. On a team with LeBron and AD that’s who they need, not a guy like Lavine who is an ok shooter.

Truth be told, either move (Lavine or Turner/Hield), in my opinion, makes the Lakers better. I think the upside of Turner Hield is greater for the Lakers though.

Barring something completely unexpected happening, the Turner/Hield trade, if it's still an option, would be the one to make and is definitely one that you use 2 firsts on, imo.

But Lavine would be a good plan B. He shoots 38% from 3 and 46% overall. The percentage from 3 is really good and 46% from a perimeter guy is also good. He also brings a little more size which helps the perimeter defense as well as preventing things like Pat Bev trying to cover Kawhi.

The potential problem that I could see is that from what I've read, it seems like he considers himself a #1 option. On the Lakers, he'd be the #3 option most of the time. If he has trouble accepting that, it could become a problem, if not in the locker room, then on the court if he struggles trying to adjust.

He's not an FA until 2027, which is good as they wouldn't be giving up a 1st for a half year rental. But it also gets pretty expensive in the latter part of it (nearly $49 million in '26-'27).

Gotta have a post Lebron core.

Davis and Lavine isn’t a bad start.

But, the Indy trade makes way more sense.
That’s fair and I wasn’t considering it. I had blinders on and was just assessing how to make the most of the LeBron investment. You’re right that LaVine AD is a solid start.

Supposed to be something like 21-25. He played 26 coming off the bench against the Spurs. I would say if he's pain free he might get bumped to 28-30. Maybe.

Hey, he’s still my guy.

But, trying to not admit you stepped on your dick by using semantics is really lame.

Im wrong all the time.

Big deal…lol

…..he totally said it, you aren’t making it up.
Why would anyone not admit being able to step on their dick?

I was a big advocate of them trying to get Turner/Hield.

But the way Thomas Bryant has been playing, and the fact Darvin Ham likes to play small ball a lot, the immediate need for Turner isn't necessary. At this point I hope Pelinka somehow finds a way to get Buddy for less than two 1sts
….also, if you trade those picks, gotta be willing to pay what it takes to keep Turner.

We don’t know what that number is.

But, we know Indy didn’t reach it.

Myles Turner, to this point, has rebuffed Indiana’s contract extension offers, league sources say,” wrote Stein.

Unless the Pacers are able to secure a new deal with Turner soon, he’s going to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Indiana’s front office is well aware of the fact that the 26-year-old could walk away from the team this coming offseason, which is why it’s going to be more likely that they decide to trade him before the deadline if a new deal is not negotiated.

I think he would understand he's the #3 on this team.....and there will be games where Bron and AD load manage so he could still get games where he gets the #1 role.

My fear is he has banged up in his career and missed time....if I remember right.....his knees. Adding that to AD so they both could miss time in the future at the same time possibly? Granted, we need to shoot our shot at this trade deadline but that's my fear.

Not his ability to fit in with James and AD. He can shoot and he's a good passer.

Oh yeah what's this insane nonsense with Dolan and face recognition at Knicks games?

I mean just when I thought he can't look more foolish he rises to the challenge.

I feel bad for all real Knicks fans. Not pasta, he has a screw loose. But Dolan will the the jinx that keeps the Knicks from improving.

What is Davis’ minutes restriction?

In the last game, it was 24 minutes max and he played 24 or 25. Don't know if it's been raised.

Hield and Turner would still be the smarter trade since Bryant is walking in the offseason.

He's going to get a nice raise from his current contract. No question about that.
