Just one game today but he seems to be helping for a while now. Let's be honest very few of us believed he could.

What he's done is save his career. Like literally. The way he played last year and the start of this year, there was a very real chance he wouldn't be on a roster next season because no team was gonna pay him any kind of money for what he brought to the table. But now he's shown he can at least be a viable player off the bench.

But he's still hugely flawed. He still has no business closing games with some very low basketball IQ decisions he makes. And if the Lakers do somehow make the playoffs and he's still on the roster, teams will completely ignore him, making it much more difficult for AD and Lebron. It's working now to a degree because its the regular season and rotations can be longer. But when your bench shortens up come playoff time and he's asked to play more, he's gonna get exposed a hell of a lot more. But for now, he's swallowed his ego enough to contribute off the bench and Ham is doing a decent enough job trying to keep him in lineups where he doesn't hurt you as bad.

He still has work to do because he still can't be trusted late in games.

For example, tonight he had 3 pretty inexcusable turnovers when the Wiz were making a run in the 4th quarter to try to get back in the game. Including one coming out of a timeout.

But he didn't compound it by taking and missing a bunch of crazy shots which shows progress.
He had 15 assists though.

Rumor has it that Harden may be back tonight. One more road game in Houston tonight and then the next 7 at home. Sixers need to go on a run here. More importantly, they have to figure out how to utilize all these pieces and make a fit.

Why would LA? Those players do little to fill the Lakers needs.
Derozen could score enough to let Lebron and AD breathe a little. I think we know what they are doing now isn’t sustainable.

Ham still needs to sort out his 4th quarter substitutions. Why put Bev in to defend a wing 6" taller than him? Troy Brown would've made more sense (either in place of Bev or Russ).

Can't space the floor and can't defend. No thanks. I don't see a Bulls deal that makes sense, since I doubt they move any of their young guys or LaVine.

Lakers do still need a move, just not this one. Bev/Nunn/Jones? (maybe a pick) will likely be the first package to be moved. If they can find the right deal for Russ, that could follow.

Russ is going to be on the floor for crunch time. He’s conceded coming off the bench, he will blow up not being on the floor at the end.

Not if those bad turnovers continue.

Better off with them then Westbrick easily

Not at the cost of 2 future 1sts IMO. There are better fits out there (like Indiana, Spurs, Hornets, Utah, maybe Detroit) to make a Westbrook deal.
