I’m a bit surprised too but the way SGA has stepped up his game I think it’s accurate. This seems like a pretty solid list to me.

Maxey and Garland low ranking is …. egregious.

I don’t think Maxey is that low. There’s a ton of great players in there. A guy like Zion is gonna get an atta guy on a list like that despite injury. Maxey has to earn it. Outside of Zion (because he hasn’t played much) can’t move another name there out. Maxey is the third guy in Philly. It’s a different story when he has to run a show. All those other guys are in roles where their team depends on them more. I’m just enjoying watching the kid progress. In Philly, we have two surprise gym rat type kids who have turned heads with their great play through hard work on developing their game and adding on in Maxey and Jalen Hurts. That’s the sports gods paying us back for catching a unicorn in Ben Simmons who was content and didn’t work toward maximizing his potential.

What kind of a guy do you put around him? Has the problem been Dallas and their attempts or is it tough to find the mix around him?

Yeah, reportedly the Lakers are leaning towards a Bev/Nunn trade instead of a bigger Russ trade because they are loathe to move the picks.

They're also trying to preserve cap space for next year. Moving Russ will require them to take on a non-expiring deal. I think they would give up at least one of the picks to move Russ if they could avoid losing cap space.

Mobley is so low bc potential really isn’t a factor here and that’s why SGA is so high. He is playing lights out. If it was potential Mobley is top 10. I don’t mind the list..some of those are tough choices. Fox is also playing lights out

Find shooters and defenders. Similar to Lebron but he is so great he can win with that kind of supporting cast. Dallas doesn’t have the assets or the situation to get a true #2 and they knew Brunson wasn’t that guy long-term. Zinger fucked them over. I think he could fit with a #2 type of 1b player but it’s going to be like Lebron+Wade. Make ut work but not a perfect fit. That guy will have to be a +defender. Lebron and Wade could be both defend at a very high level

Probably won't. Seems like the guys from overseas don't really do that much. But if he does, I'd say late next summer if they don't do anything at the trade deadline or the start of FA next summer
