Again, they didn't want that. They wanted to throw out ridiculous offers so they'd keep him. If they wanted to actually trade him they would have asked for realistic returns.

For you to say the Nets didn't truly want all those player + picks in return for KD must mean you know people in the Nets FO that told you that. So they asked for all those players for KD but they really didn't want that?

I'd ask you post something legit to back up what you've claimed, but I doubt that you can.

You don’t think if they get a lottery pick this year that they have a much better chance than they did with just AD? Zion, Ingram and a high lottery pick sounds pretty damn good to me for a guy that can’t stay on the floor.

Sure, but how much value is there in being upper middle vs lower middle? If they were bad with AD, they would've had high lottery picks of their own (like Zion was). AD would've left via trade last summer, could've been a S&T at that point or cap space and lottery picks these past few drafts as well.

The pieces they gained so far in the AD trade were De'Andre Hunter (smartly traded to Atlanta with Solomon Hill for Hayes, Walker, Louzada, and Jones) and Dyson Daniels. Ball and 2022 #15 (Mark Williams) got them Graham, Satoransky, and Temple. Hart was traded with a lot of those pieces (Walker, Louzada, Satoransky, and their 2025 first (top 4 protected)) in the McCollum trade. Main asset so far is Ingram, a lot of the rest and 2 firsts, 2 seconds ultimately netted them McCollum.

Would they have accepted those players if the trade was accepted? Sure. Would they have taken less if they truly wanted to move Durant? Probably.

I even said they might fire Nash to placate him...and they just did that too.

So in this case my opinion has some real world evidence to back it up. But even if it didn't, so what? It's an opinion. If it's a dumb one like K2T makes, it'll get clowned. If it's a smart one like this one, it'll be proven correct...like it was.
