Right now every PR/Agent should be talking to their players immediately and coach them up on what to say. Regardless if they believe it or not, this situation is getting out of hand.

It's not that hard: "The only statement I have on the matter is that I do not condone hate speech of any kind."

Just keep repeating that like Marshawn Lynch saying "i'm just here so I don't get fined". You might sound soft, but you won't screw yourself over.

This is probably the worst thing I’ve ever heard from KD. You can’t tell me he would take this view if the perceived racism was different. I have no respect for two faced people, none.

I don't think it's as cut and dry as that. KD has always kind of been in his own world. That world is hoops. That's all he wants to do. So when he says I just wish we could play basketball, I think that's his genuine feelings on it. He definitely didn't get to his point the right way though, that's for sure.

The Nets are complete dumpster fire right now.

They did Nash a favor by getting rid of him.

He wasn't the problem.
He was pretty far down the list. Honestly I put most of this on KD at this point, his statement shows how hard he was trying to be the leader he should be. Not at all.

He straight up said they should have kept quiet as an organization, and the subject was racism.

Who will be crazy enough to sign Irving next year? Stephen A just said he won’t ever get more than one year deals going forward.

Yeah, and the reason he wanted them to keep quiet was so they could just hoop. Everything I've ever seen regarding KD leads me to believe he was again genuine in that the crux of his statement was that he just wants to play basketball without distraction. I honestly don't believe it's any deeper than that this time around. If it was, I would absolutely feel different about his statement.

For example if this was Lebron saying this, then 100% I would agree with you on it being a double standard on racism. KD is a different kind of guy though.

With the complete dysfunction in Brooklyn he was doomed from the start. The injuries didn't do him any favors. And it didn't help Harden arrived outta shape. But his record with the Nets should reflect that Kyrie sat games out because he ain't right two season in a row.

The Nets could have had Pop or Spo instead of Nash and it would have probably been a similar outcome. You can't fix crazy. And Brooklyn has alotta crazy right now.

I hope Nash gets another chance to coach in a better situation.

He has been yes, but that was very specific. Keep quiet as an organization? Says it all.

Does anyone think the Nets are regretting not sending Kyrie over to LA for Westbrook and a first?
